The next day the town was quite silent.

Everyone was paying their respects to the graves they dug yesterday for the two they lost. The loss was still heavy in everyone's mind and the looks that Adrianna was getting from others was starting to bother her. People outside of her group stared with a certain hatred behind it as if she was the reason Aiden and Noah died. If only they knew the truth. She walked past the van from yesterday and Nicholas was in the back scrubbing Tara's blood off the ground.

"Nicholas." Adrianna said as she came into the man's sight. "Don't talk, just listen." She ordered. "Those four people you lost on that run, that's on you. And Noah, that's on you too. Those five lives, you have to carry that." She tells him with a sharpness to each word. "People like you are supposed to be dead. But These walls went up just in time so you're not." The luck he was granted was extreme. "You don't go outside these walls anymore. Not by yourself, not with anyone else." Her voice was stern. "That's how you're gonna survive."

He stepped out of the van and took a step into her face. "Who the hell do you think you are?" He asks in disbelief she would be so brave.

"I'm someone who knows who you are." She says not backing down. "I know what you did and it's not going to happen again."

"I've been protecting this place, helping provide for it, you just got here." He said waving his finger in her face. Adrianna took a step back and turned her back to him as she started to walk away. "Don't forget what I said." She reminded him. "Are you threatening me?" Hie voice called out after her.

"No." She turned back and gave the man a small smile. "I'm saving you."

With that, she left the man to himself. Loud yells and screams caught her attention and made her run over. Everyone was surrounding Rick and Pete who were fighting on the ground. Cuts littered their faces as they swung as each other harshly. "Stop." Diana tried her best to yell out as she ran up to the men.
"Stop right now." She demanded again as she caught her breath. Other people ran up and the men started to get antsy around Rick which made Glenn and Adrianna push them back slightly.

"Touch them again and I'll kill you." Rick said as he pulled Pete into a chokehold.

"Damn it Rick! I said stop!" Diana's voice screamed.

"Or what?" Rick moved back from Pete and snatched a gun out of his waistband. He waved it at Alexandria's people and they jumped back quickly. Adrianna raised her arms and walked away from the people getting a gun pointed at them. They dug their own graves, everything that was happening was because of them. "You gonna kick me out?"

"Put that gun down Rick."

"You still don't get it." Ricks gaze turned slightly crazed. "None of you do." He yelled as he looked around the nervous people. "We know what needs to be done and we do it. We're the ones that live. You, you just sit and plan and hesitate. You pretend like you know when you don't." He paused. "You wish things weren't like they are. Well if you want to live, you want to keep this place standing, then you're way of running things is done. Things don't get better because you want them to." His voice was strong as he kept the gun raised. "Starting right now, we have to live in the real world. We have to control who lives here." He urged.

"That's never been more clear to me than right now."

"Me? Me?" Rick asks in disbelief. "You mean me?" He scoffs and points the gun further towards the people. "Your way is gonna destroy this place, it's gonna get people killed." His gaze fell on Adrianna for a moment. "It's already gotten people killed. I'm not gonna stand by and just let it happen. If you don't fight, you die. I'm not gonna stand by-" Before Rick could continue his rant he was knocked out.
