The big metal door swung open and the light that shined through made Adrianna cringe. It had been three days since the saviors had kidnapped her and the days hadn't been easy. The first day they threw her into the dark room, left her in only underwear, and then blasted the same song on repeat for hours.
The second day, Dwight came by with some food, if you could even call it that. He had thrown down a dog food sandwich for her to eat. She refused to eat it and just let it sit on the ground to go bad. She had gone hungry before, the longest she had gone without eating had been a little over a week. Adrianna could handle a few days, all the time she spent on the road prepared her for this.As she raised her eyes, she kept them squinted from the light. Dwight's figure was in the doorway and the same dog food sandwich was in his hand. He threw it down on top of the uneaten sandwich from yesterday and slammed the door shut. The lock clicked and a few moments later, the song easy street blasted through the speakers. It echoed through the small room and Adrianna threw her head back in frustration. She ran her cold hands over her face and leaned against the brick wall behind her. Her thoughts somehow returned to her over the loud music.
Almost every moment she was locked inside of the room, she was going crazy. Her mind was completely free to roam and that was the issue. The images of Abraham and Glenn flashed in her mind. The regret, the grief, everything. She kept thinking about what could've happened, what did happen, and what could happen. Negans words from the previous days lingering in her mind. She wondered if she would ever get out of here, if she would ever be free again, or if she could see her family. She thought about Daryl frequently. She missed him dearly and she hoped that the man was okay.

Day four.
The sound of the door opening didn't affect Adrianna. She kept her gaze forward and ignored Dwight's lingering figure. He threw a pile of clothes at her and it was the last thing she was expecting. Dwight closed the door behind him and left the woman to get dressed. Quickly, she pulled the disgusting, and oversized outfit on. The warmth of the outfit was a nice change compared to the cold room she had been staying in.
A few minutes later, the door swung open again and Dwight walked in. He grabbed her from the ground and pushed her down the hallway. It was her first look at the place. The halls were filled with workers, they eyed her down as she passed. Dwight kept a firm grip on Adrianna's arm and he pulled her into a doctor's office. "Carson." He called out. The doctor turned from his patient and nodded. "Just finishing up." He moved to the side and Sherry was revealed. She look clean and more relaxed than the last time Adrianna saw her.
"Hi D." She greeted the man.
He said a hello back and her eyes fell to Adrianna. A look of sympathy crossed her face. "Adrianna, right?" Her voice was soft as she asked the question.
"Don't talk to her." Dwight growls. Sherry turns her concerned gaze back to Dwight as he notices the pregnancy test besides her. She came to a stand and switched spots with Adrianna. "It's negative." Sherry looked disappointed. Dwight nodded and turned his gaze to the floor. "Maybe the next one."
"Sorry, I'm still getting used to being my own assistant." The doctor apologized as he switched his gloves.
Sherry moved over to Adrianna and waited for the woman's gaze to match hers. "Whatever they say, just do it." She urged. Concerned laced each word as she spoke.
"I said don't talk to her."
Sherry nodded and sent the woman one last look before exiting the room. "Okay, let's take a look." The doctor pulled the dirty sweatshirt off of Adrianna's shoulder and examined the gun shot wound. His fingers pressed lightly around it and the pain was still present but nothing compared to how it was. "It'll get better, if you let it. Negan will take care of you." He paused. "Trust me."
