"Mingyu, you can't be serious."

"I am though."

Wonwoo sighed and looked down at his friend, who was sitting on the edge of his bed, looking entirely too pleased with himself.

"We can't even fit there. The bed is too small."

"We'll cuddle."

Wonwoo shivered at the thought, shaking his head as if to physically yeet the image from his mind.

"How could you say that with a straight face?"

"What? Can't we?"

"No, we can't. Aside from the fact that the bed is way too small, we're both too big for it. Think of my poor bed frame for a second, Mingyu."

Mingyu pouted, his finger idly tracing circles on the bed's covers. Wonwoo sighed again, already regretting this whole conversation.

"Just one night." Wonwoo muttered under his breath, half to himself. His eyes closed shut as he mentally cursed after agreeing to this crazy situation.

Mingyu's face lit up instantly. He jumped to his feet and pulled Wonwoo into a tight hug. "Yay, thank you, Wonwoo!"

Wonwoo grumbled, not thrilled on how things are unfolding but already too far gone to back out. "That pipe leak in your dorm better be fixed tomorrow, or else you're sleeping on the streets tomorrow night."

Mingyu ignored his friend's last sentence, tightening his grip around him. Wonwoo felt a slight huff of irritation, but it didn't last. He was just glad that Mingyu, the giant, was at least getting a roof over his head after his dorm had flooded from what the building manager deemed to be a faulty pipe.

The hug lasted longer than Wonwoo could tolerate. He forcefully pried himself away from Mingyu's large frame and held him at arm's length, earning yet another pout from the tanned man.

"Jeez, you were squeezing the life out of me, I could barely breathe. We still need to shower. You go in first, I still need to finish and send this email to my group."

"Okay~" Mingyu hurriedly grabbed the towel and spare clothes Wonwoo had generously lent him. He even found a new pair of underwear to complete the set. After a quick ten-minute shower, he stepped out of the bathroom to find Wonwoo still absorbed in his laptop.

"I'm done. You can go ahead now."

Wonwoo nodded absentmindedly, his tired eyes still glued to the screen, and grabbed his clothes and towel, slinging them over his shoulder as he sleepily walked to the bathroom.

It was the first time Mingyu had visited Wonwoo's place. They had been friends for about a year, but Mingyu never really got to know him that well. Wonwoo was cautious around people, often building walls that were hard to climb. At first, Mingyu found it frustrating, but then he understood. The world was rough, and it made sense that someone like Wonwoo would be wary of getting close. So Mingyu had learned to respect the boundaries he'd set and be patient.

Mingyu was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the bathroom door creak open.

"Ahh, I finally feel refreshed." Wonwoo walked toward the end of the bed, his damp hair dripping water down his face and neck.

"That was quick. Do you—" Mingyu stopped mid-sentence, completely distracted. Wonwoo was wearing a loose white long-sleeve shirt and comfy gray sweatpants. His damp hair clung to the sides of his face, and water droplets dotted his shirt, slowly soaking the neckline. Mingyu stared, taking in how amazing Wonwoo looked without his glasses. His features, so often hidden behind those bulky frames, were now fully visible.
