{Isabelle's POV}
"Those fireworks were incredible!" I cheerfully said. Ellie smiled. "I have to agree!" Max had a weird glint in his eyes. "I just know that Team Roller Coasters will win! According to some calculations..." Max was cut off by my dad. "You should all go home. It's almost 1:00 in the morning." I looked around to find Nathan, but he was nowhere to be seen. "Dad, have you seen Nathan?" My dad shook his head. "Nathan is your friend with the blue tentacles, right?" I nodded. "I'll go find him. You wait by the train station, OK?" My dad nodded.
"Naathaaan!" I yelled. "Where did you go?" I had been looking all over the plaza for almost half an hour, and I still couldn't find him. I just assumed he went home already and decided to go home, walking past the buildings near the convenience store. ...Maybe I should check behind the buildings, just to be safe, I thought. I walked behind and almost screamed at what I saw. Nathan was lying limp and unconscious in a pool of magenta ink. I rushed over to him and
picked him up. "NATHAN!!! Are you ok!? What in the name of Inkopolis happened to you!?" Nathan's slowly opened. "Or...laith..." He said in a weak voice. "Orlaith? What do you mean!?" I yelled. "Orlaith... She attacked me... And stole the monitor back..." He replied. "She took me back here..." He probably had more to say, but he passed out again before he could finish telling me what happened. I picked up my phone and called my dad, Ellie, and Max. "Guys? I found Nathan! We're over by the convenience store!" About three minutes later, the trio was running up to us. Max had a horrified expression on his face, and Ellie's eyes widened. My dad immediately asked, "What happened to him?" I knew I couldn't hide the truth from him anymore. "He... Was attacked by an Octarian. This specific Octarian has attacked us before. I didn't want to tell you about this..." My dad immediately replied, "We'll talk about that later, Ok Sweetie? First, we have to get Nathan home."{Nathan's POV}
"Do you think he's gonna be OK?"
"He'll be fine."
"I can't believe that Orlaith would stoop so low..."
"Even while bedridden, his hair remains fabulous."
"Hey, guys! He's waking up!"
My eyes slowly began to open. And when I was fully awake, EVERYONE AND THEIR DAD (quite literally for Isabelle) was hovering over me. "AAAUGH!" I yelled while tumbling out of my bed. Before I knew it, I was eating carpet. "Well, at least he's still functioning properly," Isabelle said while helping me up. "So, Nathan..." Ellie said softly. "Isabelle told us that Orlaith attacked you and stole her monitor back." I nodded. Max yelled, "I HATE THAT DANG OCTOLING! THE NEXT TIME I SEE HER, I'LL MURDER HER, SKIN HER, TAN HER HIDE AND TURN HER INTO A PAIR OF LEATHER BOOTS! AAAAAAA-" Ellie stomped on his foot to shut him up. "We can't do that. We don't even know why she's here." Isabelle stood up. "The octarians want to conquer Inkopolis. They want revenge for us exiling them to live underground for all eternity." Ellie's eyes widened. "How did you know?" She asked. "Ga-DUH. Orlaith literally said that out loud in our faces." Max tried to hold in his laughter. "Wow, she's apparently a lot stupider than I thought..." We all began to laugh. "I have to admit, it was kinda dumb of her to blurt out her plan right in our faces," I said. "Well, we can just shake this off and prepare for tomorrow. Turf wars are available tomorrow." Ellie replied, "True that! C'mon, Max. We have to hurry or else we'll miss the train!" Max mumbled, "Fiiiiiine..." Before Isabelle and her dad left, she told me, "If you ever see Orlaith again, call me. We can whoop her sorry butt together." I smiled. "Of course. See ya tomorrow." Right after Isabelle and her dad left, I just went straight to bed. My head hurt, my chest hurt, and I didn't want to sleep in. "I'd pull an Isabelle," I chuckled to myself.
