{Nathan's POV}
We stopped by this awesome little café to get some sweets. "You're going to LOVE it here! My mom takes me all the time." Ellie and Isabelle were immediately dazzled by all the fancy sweets on display. "So... Beautiful..." Max was staring at the waitress. "Hey there." I groaned and slapped my forehead. Whenever Max sees a cute girl, he just flirts with her nonstop. "Right. Guys, we ready to order?"
While we were eating our sweets, we decided to play a little game of Would You Rather. "Alright, Ellie!" Max said. "Would you rather sing in front of a bunch of people in public, or dance in front of a bunch of people?" Ellie replied, "Oh... I'll take the singing, 'cos I can't dance for crud..." Max elbowed her in the side. "You DO have a nice voice, Ellie. Your turn!" Ellie smiled as she ate another bite of her strawberry shortcake. "Mmmkay, Nathan! Would you rather always have to say everything on your mind, or never speak again?" Wow, that's a toughie. "Ummm... Honesty is the best policy, I guess. Also, I'll actually be able to speak." Just imagine being unable to say anything! How would you ask for the TV remote or the mashed potatoes at dinner? "All right, my turn! Isabelle, would you rather be so careful with your things that you go crazy if they're not perfect, or forget something every day?" Isabelle stared at the ceiling and replied, "I'm already forgetful, so I'll go with the latter." Ellie then looked at Isabelle and said, "Hey, Isabelle? Where'd your Splattershot go?" Isabelle then felt for her gun, and shrieked, "Oh, crud! I forgot it! Be right back!" Isabelle then ran out the door. "PAY FOR MY FOOD NATHAN!"{Isabelle's POV}
I was back at Moray Towers. All the ink from earlier was gone, and I could see my Splattershot laying on the ground. I ran over and picked it up, but as I was leaving, I noticed another person. It was a girl in a black hoodie, with a Forge Splattershot Pro on the ground. She was looking over the edge of the buildings as I ran over to her and asked, "Excuse me. What are you doing here?" The girl almost jumped out of her skin when she heard me. The girl replied, "I... Uh..." She looked so flustered. I wonder why? After a while, she stopped stuttering and ran right past me. As she sprinted by, her hood fell down, revealing red tentacles that didn't look like a normal squid's tentacles at all. She beat a hasty retreat, leaving me dumbfounded. I looked over where she was, and noticed a small device on the side. It was a small black box with a flashing purple light. It looked suspicious, so I removed it and threw it over the edge. It probably wasn't important.{????'s POV}
"I can't believe someone saw me..." I whispered to myself. I had to place the tracker somewhere, and by somewhere they meant a place that was isolated, but people would still go there. "I'm a failure as an elite agent!" I said to myself again. I knew I should have gone to the warehouse. I decided to take the long way back, which is behind the old convenience store. As I walked past, there was a group of four inklings walking by. I looked at one of them and immediately ran. "Th-that was the girl that saw me!" I said to myself under my breath. It was definitely the same girl. Same orange tentacles, same blue shirt, same everything. Once I made it behind the convenience store, I put down the hood on my jacket. It wasn't necessary anymore. I pulled out my communicator and said, "Elite Agent 420, reporting in. I've successfully placed the tracker in the Inkopolis area. I'm coming back." As I hung up, I opened the manhole in the back and jumped in. Mission successful... I hope.
