{Nathan's POV}
"Alright guys, we ready?" I asked. The group nodded in agreement in response. Ellie said, "I can't wait. It'll be so fun." Max claimed that we was going to kill the entire opposing team... Twice. Dream on, Max. Isabelle was just staring at her Splattershot. "I just hope we do well today." I walked over to her and gave her a big pat on the back. "We'll do fine!" I said to her. "So c'mon, guys. Let's go kick some butt!" As we ran to the battlegrounds, I saw a slight smile creep over Isabelle's face. So I smiled back.

{Isabelle's POV}
I stood at the starting spot, my hands tightly clenched around my Splattershot. The opposing team was over on the other side of Kelp Dome. Nathan shot me a big smile. That's his way of saying, "We're gonna destroy them, am I right or am I right?" I smile back. As we hear the countdown, the air feels even more tense.
"3...2...1... GO!!!!!!!!!!"
Nathan and I immediately went opposite directions to cover more ground. Ellie took the high ground to hide from enemies to the best of her abilities. Max... Just rolled with it. (Hah, I'm so funny.) As I was covering a small area, I heard footsteps coming closer to me and the sound of bursts. I immediately swiveled around and shot like crazy. "AHHH! GOAWAYGOAWAYGOAWAYDESISTDESISTDESIST!" A Rapid Blaster lay in a puddle of our team's ink. I heard a clean BOOM as Ellie successfully took out an unsuspecting competitor, about to launch a Killer Wail at her. From across the dome, I heard Max yell, "Oops, my bad. I didn't mean to steamroll you~" I giggled at that little piece of trash-talk as I progressed towards the center of the Dome, laying down more ink. No one was there, except for me. "All right! It's mine for taking!" As I was cleanly covering the center area, I saw Nathan running up behind me. "Hey, you took the center. Nice job!" Nathan would have congratulated me more and probably helped me cover more ground, but an Inkling wielding an Aerospray RG snuck up behind him and shot him. "BWACK!" Nathan yelled as I watched him combust into ink. I looked at the pursuer, who had her eyes set on me next. Our weapons were pointed at each other, and we were waiting for someone to get the first strike. She tried to shoot me... But I was one foot too far away. "Dang it!" She yelled. I shot her while her guard was down, and she exploded into our ink. "All right!" I yelled.
"Dang, that match was real fun!" Ellie said while sipping her drink. After today's battle, we all decided to stop and get some refreshments. Max pounded his fists on the table. "I was ONE AWAY from my goal of killing everyone TWICE!" I put my hand on his shoulder. "Quiet down, you'll get us thrown out!" Nathan grinned. "While today was fun, it has to come to an end. Let's go back." I grabbed my iced tea and replied, "All right."

{Nathan's POV}
Since our destination was so far away, we had to take a train back home. The train ride was mostly uneventful, though. Ellie was listening to music, Max was either playing mobile games, or bugging other passengers. Isabelle just stared out the window. I joined her. "Today was fun," I said. I hope we can have a battle like that tomorrow, too." Isabelle looked back at me and smiled a bit. "Yep." I don't know why, but Isabelle has been really quiet lately. I wonder why?
