{Isabelle's POV}
My eyes slowly began to open up. I was laying on the ground, in some sort of cell. My backpack was on the ground next to me. "What in the world happened?" I asked myself. I drew closer to the thick glass wall and observed my surroundings. There were two other cells- both of them were empty, though. I heard footsteps coming down the hall. "...Yeah, I got them. So the others are still somewhere in Octo Valley? ...They're of no use to us. We discarded the brats' headgear. They can't communicate. ...I'll figure out what to do with them. Brainwash them? Torture them? KILL them?! Eeee, So many choices!" Nami walked past my cell, talking to someone on a communication device of some sort. I still had no clue where I was. I looked to my left and saw something laying on the ground. It was Nathan. He was in his squid form, out cold. Part of one of his tentacles was missing. Just then, all the memories came rushing back to me. Nathan was drowning, and I tried to help him, but we both ended up being incapacitated...

I had to find a way out. I didn't want Nathan to get any more beat up than he is now, so I hid him in my backpack. I picked up Nathan's Hero Shot (I would never forgive myself if I did this with my Splattershot) and slammed it into the glass. It cracked a bit, and gave way the second time. "Alright... I'm out. Now what...?" I guess I had to find a way out of wherever I was... I stepped down the hall and peeked out from behind a corner. The path split, but what caught my interest was a small window. I peered out of it, seeing that I was somehow above Octo Valley. I looked down the right hallway, and saw Nami running towards me. "HEY! HOW DID YOU ESCAPE?! GET BACK HERE!" I ran away and ducked into an empty cell. Panting, I opened my backpack to check on Nathan. He was still unconscious. "Nathan... Please be alright." Nathan's eyes slowly opened as he poked his squiddy head out of my backpack. "...? Where the heck am I? Why am I in a backpack?" I replied, "Shush! You'll have to ride it out. Stay in my backpack." He sunk deeper into the backpack. "Fine, but if I starve in here, I get to eat this bag of cheese puffs," he huffed. "What? No! Those are mine!" I whispered as I snuck out of the cell. I checked the halls to see if Nami was anywhere. I didn't see Nami, but I saw a door with light leaking out of it. Out of curiosity, I went inside. It was some sort of weapon storage. On a pedestal, there was the final Zapfish- what we should have gotten back in Bluefin Depot. Before I could grab it and run, Nami burst through the door. "FOUND YOU! GET BACK IN YOUR CELL, YOU PESKY LITTLE BRAT!" She charged towards me, a look of pure enragement on her face. I felt my backpack rumble as I waited for Nami to strike.

Nothing happened. I felt nothing. I opened up my eyes and saw Nathan weakly standing in front of me. "I can't let anything happen to you!" He said, his voice full of determination. "Nathan, no! Stop it! You're still too weak! Don't push yourself too hard!" I cried. Nathan looked back at me, smiling. It was the same cocky smile that meant,
"I ain't gonna lose today."
Nathan reached for the closest weapon- in this case, an Inkbrush- and swung it at Nami. She swiftly dodged the attack and kicked Nathan in the stomach, sending him flying towards me. We were both thrown at the wall. "Gggh..." Blue ink leaked out of Nathan's mouth. "You've gone too far!" He threw the Inkbrush at Nami as if it were a spear. The Inkbrush knocked Nami into the wall, knocking her out cold. I helped Nathan up and grabbed the Zapfish. "Are you ok? Can you stand?" I asked, overflowing with worry. Nathan weakly replied, "Hardly.... Gggh!" He choked up more blue ink. "We gotta get out of here..." We ran out of the room and saw a door at the end of the hallway. I grabbed Nathan's hand and ran towards it. I threw it open and saw that we were extremely high up. "Nathan, take my hand!" I yelled. He replied, "Whuuh?" I shouted, "There's no other option! We have to jump out!" Nathan reluctantly grabbed my hand. I took one leap and fell seemingly forever, until I faintly saw ground beneath us. I turned my tentacles the same shade of blue as Nathan's and tightly gripped my Splattershot. I pulled the trigger and created a formidable pool of ink. We turned into squids and safely landed in the ink. We had done it. We got the final Zapfish.
