{Isabelle's POV}
"Quick question- Why are we all here, Isabelle?" Nathan asked. Max, Ellie, Nathan and I were all gathered at a Japanese restaurant. I replied, "I have something really important to tell everyone. Kasai and Felix are coming, too."
A girl with teal tentacles who was wearing a sushi chef apron stepped out of the restaurant. "Excuse me. Are you all just going to sit there and not order anything?" She said, annoyed. "It's ok. We're just waiting for somebody..." I responded. The girl just rolled her eyes and went back inside.
{Kasai's POV}
"There they are!" I shouted. Felix and I ran towards the group of Inklings and sat down. "Why did you call us here?" Felix asked.
"I... I have something really important to tell you all." Isabelle answered. "You all know that Na-"
A familiar octoling girl ran up to the table. "SORRY I'M LATE!" She yelled. "I DIDN'T GET THE MESSAGE UNTIL JUST NOW!" Isabelle sighed. "Sit down and listen, Orlaith."
{Isabelle's POV}
"Okay, where was I? Oh, right. You all know Natalie, right? That inkling girl who promised to help us find Nami?" Everyone nodded. "Good," I continued.
"Natalie did indeed help us find Nami. In fact, Nami was right beneath our noses. But Natalie... She isn't who she appears to be. Last night, Natalie attacked me. I was locked in some sort of weird dream... And I saw everything." I stared at Kasai and Felix. Both of them had bandages on their bodies.
"I saw what happened to Felix and Kasai last night... And before I woke up, I heard Kasai's stepfather say something about a certain inkling girl... I turned around, and there she was. Natalie was there... Except she wasn't Natalie. Natalie... She's Nami."
Everyone gasped. Orlaith's eyes were as wide as dinner plates. "WHAT?! OOOH, THAT LITTLE-" Nathan covered her mouth. "That's horrible..." Kasai said. "She forced my stepdad to try and kill me and Felix..."
The girl with the teal hair stepped out of the restaurant again. "I overheard everything... That sounds horrible. Do you need my help in any way?" I nodded. "If you see her, call us."
I stood up and announced, "That's all the information I have. If anyone sees Nata- er, Nami, inform me ASAP."
{Jacki's POV}
I sighed and continued to wash the dish I had in my hand. That poor girl... I hope I could be of some help to them...
"Hey, Jackster!" Chirped an all-too-familiar voice. I turned my head and saw Mark, smiling at me. "One ramen, please!" I rolled my eyes and reluctantly headed to the kitchen.
I eventually told him about everything that had happened earlier. "If you see her, try to call that one Isabelle person." Mark set down his chopsticks. "That'th horrible. And that dethcription thoundth jutht like the girl who attacked me a couple of dayth ago!" He exulted through a mouthful of noodles. I groaned and replied, "Please don't talk with your mouth full. I can hardly understand a word you're saying." Mark gulped and said, "Whatever." Some people these days have no manners.
Ding!
The door to the restaurant opened, and a smiling inkling girl wearing a school uniform stepped in. She adjusted her squid-stitch cap and sat down next to Mark. "Helloooo! I overheard a conversation outside about some kind of murderous octopi. Can I help?" She said with a sickeningly sweet tone in her voice. It made me gag.
Wait a sec- Short Tentacles, School Uniform, Squid-Stitch Cap... Why did those traits sound so familiar? Her name was on the tip of my tongue, and I was about to say it...
But Mark beat me to it, knocking her out of her chair and pinning her to the ground. "GOT 'EEM!" He shouted.
{Isabelle's POV}
"Ah, geez... Who could be calling me now? The battle is about to start..." I whined. I reaching into my pocket and answered the phone call.
"...Hello? Oh hi... Jacki, right? Wait- WHAT?!"
Nathan, Max, and Ellie stared at me like I was crazy. "What are you screaming about, Isabelle?" Nathan questioned. I ran over to Judd and begged, "I'm sorry, but we need to bail!"
"But if I claw the match off, your ranks will drop-" I cut him off.
"I DON'T CARE! THIS IS IMPORTANT!" I screamed.
-------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey! We're in the back!" Jacki whispered, while gesturing us towards a door. The door creaked open. Felix and Kasai were watching Mark work, and Mark was tying a familiar girl to a chair with rope. "You can't escape..." Mark said to the girl with a twisted grin. Have I ever mentioned how terrifying he can be sometimes?
The girl rolled her eyes. "Look, you have the wrong girl. I am not this Nami person!" Jacki snorted. "You've gotta be squiddin' me. The look on your face gives it away!"
Jacki yanked off her Squid-Stitch Cap, revealing her dark silver Octoling tentacles. Nata- Er, NAMI, winced and sank in her chair. My eyes widened.
"You actually caught her. I'm impressed!" I said. Nami rolled her eyes. I notice that she was trying to loosen her arm from the rope and reach for a squid-stitch patterned backpack on the floor (which I assumed was hers). I pulled the backpack away. "NOPE! Sorry, but this is ours now!"
Nami's face fell. "C'mon, please? Something really important to me is in there. It's a gift from my teammates..." Orlaith's eyes widened and she kicked the backpack towards Nami. She grinned and picked it off the ground, and pulled out a small knife. She quickly sawed through the rope and pulled out her Octoshot.
"Hasta La Vista, Suckers!" She shouted while breaking through the delicate glass of the window behind her and ran towards the manhole leading to Octo Valley.
I turned my head and saw a suction bomb in the middle of the room.
"OH MY -"
BOOOOOOOOOOM!
I sat up, covered in Magenta Ink. "Is everyone alright?" I asked.
"I'm fine."
"Yeah!"
"I-I'm alright..."
"It's all good in the hood."
Jacki stood up and glanced around the room, with a twisted look of anger on her face. "I'm fine... BUT MY RESTAURANT IS NOT! THAT STUPID OCTOPUS IS REALLY GOING TO GET IT NOW!" Jacki leaped out of the shattered window and chased after her. "I guess we should follow her..." I replied.
