{Isabelle's POV}
"Have you finished it, Cap'n?" I asked. Cap'n Cuttlefish replied, "It's done. This jump pad will take you where you need to go. Do you see that dealywhopper up there?" He pointed to something that was floating in the sky. "That's were ye were yesterday. That Nami person is still up there."
Ellie smiled. "Good luck up there!"
"Make sure to come back in one piece! We need all of our team members to compete in turf wars!" Max joked.
"Do me a solid and KICK NAMI'S SMUG BUTT!" Orlaith cheered.
"Thanks, guys." I said. "I'll make sure we come out of this alive!" Nathan cheerfully stated. Nathan and I turned into squids and flew towards the flying object. This was it. The final battle with Nami.

"Whoop! Be careful, I don't want you to fall!" I said as Nathan landed on the object. I opened a large steel door and stepped inside. "Nami! Show yourself!" I yelled, tightly gripping my Splattershot. No reply. I crept down the hallway, Nathan following behind me. We ended up in a large room that appeared to be a control room. There were buttons and levers everywhere, and a large seat in front of a window with a steering wheel. "ALL RIGHT! IMMA PILOT THIS THING LIKE A BOSS!" Nathan yelled as he ran towards the steering wheel. "NATHAN! We came here to stop Nami, not to fly an airship!" Nathan looked back at me with a smirk. "Don't worry. I have a plan. Eh heh heh..." I would never trust that evil laugh...

{Nathan's POV}
I gripped the steering wheel and made a hard right. "WHEEEEEEE! TO SPAAAAAAAAAAAACE!" Isabelle yelled, "NATHAN! EXECUTE THIS PLAN A LITTLE MORE CAREFULLY!" Nami burst through the door. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" I replied, "Do you want me to stop? Okay!" I let go of the steering wheel. The airship swerved around one way, then the other. "STOP IT! YOU'LL KILL US ALL!" Nami yelled. "Do you want me to keep piloting it? Alright!" I pulled the airship up, sending Nami (and Isabelle) barreling into the wall. "Oh, wait. Autopilot button. Whoops." I pushed the auto-pilot button and hopped out of the seat. Nami stood up, breathing heavily. "You... You're psycho..." I rolled my eyes. "Puh-LEASE! Which one of us poisoned my best friends, attempted to murder my parents, and tried to blow me to bits with a bomb? Pfft! I would never do those things to myself! Through the headset, Max shouted, "BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURN!"

Nami pulled out her gun. "Enough talk! Let's fight!" She barraged us with magenta ink, forcing me and Isabelle to jump to the side. "WHY WON'T YOU IDIOTS JUST DIE?!" Nami yelled. "WHY DO YOU WANT US TO DIE?!" Isabelle shouted back. A creepy grin spread across Nami's face. "Here's your answer."

"A long time ago, the people of Octo Valley heard of a legend about an Inkling brimming with power. They would never lose to anyone. The Octarians wanted all of that power, and attempted to catch the Inkling and drain them of their power. To this day, we search for the Inkling who wields this immense power. You may not know this, but you two possess this legendary power, and that's why-"

"IMPOSSIBLE!" Nathan interrupted. "I lose at turf wars a lot! It would be booooring if I always won!" Nami kicked him into a wall. "SHUT UP AND LET ME FINISH THE STORY!"

{Nathan's POV}
I've had enough of this crud. Nami has been toying with my life for who knows how long now. I was sick of her. She's tried to kill both me and my parents, poisoned my best friends, and now she wanted me and my closest friend dead. I choked up a hefty amount of blue ink. I saw Isabelle and Nami, shooting each other. I carefully stood up and said,
"That's enough!"
My memory from this point on is still a bit hazy, so I'll try to explain to the best of my abilities.
I felt my Hero Shot morph into a massive Inkzooka. I pointed it at Nami, my tentacles still glowing. I said, "Leave her alone... or else." I pulled the trigger and watched Nami fly into the controls, demolishing everything. The Inkzooka disappeared and turned back into the usual Hero Shot. "Nathan...? That... Was... AWESOME!!!" Isabelle shouted. "Thanks... Ggglhgh!" I said, while choking up more ink. "Too many kicks to the stomach..." My headset beeped and I heard Orlaith's voice. "There's no time to celebrate! The ship is going down! You have to get out of there!" I replied, "Roger that! Isabelle, we have to go!" Isabelle answered, "Okay!" and we ran out. I stopped halfway down the hall. "Isabelle, wait. There's note enough time to escape. I have a plan. Wait here!" Isabelle nodded, her face full of worry. I ducked into the weapon storage room and grabbed a Splattershot Jr. I ran out and grabbed Isabelle and ducked into a corner. "Nathan?! What are you doing-" I covered her mouth. "Please... Just trust me." I held her close as the ship rammed into the ground.

{Isabelle's POV}
I opened my eyes and looked around. Nathan was still tightly holding onto me, a Splattershot Jr in the other hand. We were in a Bubbler, safe and sound, standing amidst all the rubble and broken ship parts. The bubble shattered and Nathan let go of me. "We... Did it! We defeated Nami! I can't believe it!" I cheered. I turned towards Nathan and said, "Can you believe it, Nathan? We actually-" he grabbed me and pulled me in close and hugged me. I didn't say anything. I just smiled and hugged him back. "I'm so glad you're safe. I would never forgive myself if you got hurt..." Nathan said. I didn't know he cares so much about me. It's kinda funny, actually.
I feel the same way.

"And... Done! Ain't it beautiful?" Cap'n Cuttlefish said while patting a large snow globe, with Nami inside. "It's pretty! Is it nice in there, Nami?" I teased. Nami angrily replied, "It's wonderful. Better than being around you wretched kids." Nathan stuck his tongue out and said, "Take good care of her, Cap'n!" Cap'n replied, "Of course. See you crazy kids later!"

I hopped out of the manhole. Ellie, Max and Orlaith ran over to us and just started to uncontrollably hug me and Nathan. "OHMIGOSH I'M SO GLAD YOU GUYS ARE OKAY!!!!" Ellie shouted. "I FEEL THE SAME WAY BRO!" Max yelled. "DID YOU BEAT NAMI'S BUTT?!" Orlaith asked. I replied, "Yeah. She won't bother us ever again." Nathan's eyes lit up. "I know what we can do to celebrate! Isabelle, what level are you?" I answered, "Uh... I'm level 11. Why ask?" Nathan grabbed my arm and pulled me towards Inkopolis Tower. "LET'S CELEBRATE WITH SOME RANKED BATTLES, BABY!" He shouted. I replied, "Ranked WHAT?!"

Our team rose from the starting point at Blackbelly Skatepark. There was a large golden fish-shaped object in the center of the park. "That's the Rainmaker. You gotta grab that and take it to the enemy base," Nathan told me. I nodded and replied, "Gotcha!" I was nervous. It was my first ranked battle.
"3...2...1... GO!!!!"
I ran toward the Rainmaker and shot the shield. The shield gave way and I grabbed the Rainmaker. "Geez... This thing is heavy..." I whined as I struggled to lift it. It suddenly became much lighter. I looked behind me and saw Nathan, helping me hold it up. "You know that saying, two heads are better than one?" Nathan asked me. I smiled. We may not have been able to cover ourselves very well, but we were working together. That was what counted.

"I can't believe we actually won! I won my first ranked battle!" I cheered. Ellie applauded. Max smiled and grabbed Ellie's shoulder. "We were the perfect team! Of course, I was a major factor in our victory-" Ellie stepped on his foot. "You'll never change." Orlaith beamed, "Congrats on your first win! Your teamwork was excellent!" I blushed. "Gee, thanks..." Nathan smiled and said, "Thanks. I couldn't have done it without my teammates." What Nathan did next, I couldn't believe.

Nathan kissed me on the cheek. I flushed a shade of bright red and stuttered, "WH-WH-WH-WHAAAAAAAA?!" Ellie covered her mouth to keep herself from screaming. Max's jaw fell to the ground. Orlaith just stared with wide eyes. Nathan blushed and replied, "I... uh... S-sorry..." I smiled. "No need to apologize. It's getting late. We should head home so we can spend all day tomorrow battling!" I didn't say anything else on the train ride back. I was still in awe. I couldn't have been any happier.

Now I know we both feel the same way about each other.
