{Isabelle's POV}
"Guys! I think I know why Nami attacked Nathan's parents!" I yelled while running over to our group's usual meeting spot. "You do? Spill the beans, girl!" Ellie said. I answered, "Nathan told me that he found a small vial inside of Mani's hat, and the next morning the hat was gone." Nathan replied, "She speaks the truth." I continued, "We assumed that Nami had stolen her hat back, since it contained a vial of the same poison she tried to use on us. Maybe she wants to catch Nathan's parents and use them to lure in Nathan so he can be captured as well!" Nathan replied, "It's a crazy idea, but it's believable." Max said, "You were right about the crazy part." Orlaith nodded. "We have to stop Nami before she hurts anyone else. Isabelle, I support your theory." Ellie remarked, "Hey, Orlaith. Have you ever competed in a turf war?" Orlaith answered, "Well... No." Ellie smiled. "You can play in my place today." Orlaith beamed, "Really? Thank you! My first turf war!"{Orlaith's POV}
"Are you sure about this? I mean, I'm not an Inkling like you guys! People might think I'll attack them, or..."
"STOP BEING SO PARANOID!" YOU'LL BE FINE!" Max yelled. "Just be calm and have fun, ok?" I nodded.
"3...2...1... GO!"
I immediately ran up to higher ground and charged up my Heavy Splatling. I watched the team ink up our side of the port from up high. I shot a tiny bit of ink on the ground to check the color. Orange- the team's official color. Now no one will suspect me to be an Octarian... Hopefully... I thought. I noticed a turquoise enemy inkling trying to roll up to base. I unloaded and splatted her with a barrage of ink shots. Hey, I'm pretty good at this, I thought. I finally found one thing I'm good at in life besides screwing everything up...
"3...2...1... STOP!"
I ran back to our base to hear the results. "And the winner is... Team Orange!" I couldn't believe it. "GUYS!!! WE WON!!!!" I yelled. Isabelle replied, "Good job on your first win!" My first turf war, and I won. Life couldn't have been any better.{Ellie's POV}
While the others were at the turf war, I stayed back in Inkopolis Plaza, trying to think of ways to stop Nami. It actually felt kind of nice, having a break from those hectic turf wars. Before I could think of anything good, the others burst out of the door rather excitedly. "Hey guys," I said. "How was the turf war?" Orlaith cheerfully answered, "We won! ...Hey, what's with all the crumpled papers?" I replied, "Eh, I was thinking of ways to stop Nami. But I need more time to think... IDEA INCOMING!" Everyone shot me a weird look. ...Maybe because I hardly ever yell.... "We should all stay at my apartment! Half sleepover, half team meeting!" Max replied, "...That's actually a really good idea. But I have a better one! We can all stay at my apartment! Half sleepover, half-" I stomped on his foot before he could finish. "Everyone come to my apartment at around nine tonight. Sound good?" Everyone answered, "Sounds good!"{Nathan's POV}
"Hurry up, Nathan! We'll miss the train!" Isabelle shouted. I replied, "Alright, I'm coming! Sheesh!" I tapped Orlaith's shoulder and whispered, "Hey, um... About that stuff you told me that night. Was it true?" Orlaith smiled. "Every bit of it." So her parents really did abandon her. Her friend really did die. She's been through a lot. "..." Neither of use spoke to each other after that. I guess that was for the best.
