Everyone was behaving as if nothing had changed. For them, Aditya going on a business trip was a routine.
But for Taniya?
It was like the world was ending.
After breakfast, the entire family stood at the front gate, waving Aditya goodbye with a smile.
Taniya, on the other hand, looked like she was about to burst into tears.
Veer spotted her tragic expression and immediately got an idea. With a grin, he pulled out his phone and started searching.
After a few seconds later, he finally found what he was searching for and hit play.
Saiyyan hai vyapari
Chale hai pardesh
Suratiya niharu
Jiyara bhaari hove
The song played through the speaker accompanied by Veer's singing.
The entire family burst into laughter, including Taniya, whose teary goodbye turned into a fit of giggles.
Thanks to Veer, she was now smiling as she waved Aditya off.
Meanwhile, Aditya boarded the plane with Vivaan. He had sent a quick message to Taniya before takeoff but hadn’t texted her since.
Taniya was back from the hospital by the evening and was now curled up in bed, terribly missing him.
Finally, she gave in and decided to call.
Aditya was in the middle of a conversation with Vivaan when his phone buzzed.
He glanced at the screen and saw that Veer was calling him.
“Hello, bhai?” Aditya heard Veer's voice as he picked up the call.
“Haan, bol” Aditya replied.
“Aap bolo”
Aditya frowned and pulled the phone away to check the caller ID again.
Yep.
Still Veer.
“Kya hai?” he asked again.
“Kuch nahi, bas yeh check kar raha tha ki aap kahin doosri line par mast...mera matlab vyast toh nahi ho,” Veer quipped, snickering.
Aditya sighed at his pointless joke. He waited for Veer to say something else, but he was too busy laughing at his own joke so Aditya hung up.
Shaking his head, he closed the file and turned to Vivaan, who was sprawled on the hotel bed.
He yanked the sheets off him. “Uth ja... Sona hai mujhe.”
Vivaan patted the empty side of the bed. “To aaja na.”
Aditya narrowed his eyes. “Tu uthega to mai aoonga na”
Vivaan smirked. “Mujhe laga tujhe cuddle karke sone ki aadat hogi, isiliye ruk gaya mai.”
Aditya's face recoiled in disgust.
First Veer, now Vivaan. It seemed that Everyone had a personal mission to irritate him today.
“Chal nikal idhar se,” Aditya half-said, half-screamed at Vivaan, who just laughed harder before finally getting up.
Aditya sighed in relief and lay down on the bed, thinking the drama was finally over.
