He pulled her closer, her bare form fitting perfectly against his.

Her head rested on his bicep, and he gently bent his arm, nestling her face into the curve of his neck.

His other arm wrapped protectively around her back, holding her as if she were the most fragile and precious thing in the world.

Her steady breaths warmed his skin and with every rise and fall of her chest, he whispered softly,

"I love you."
"I love you."
"I love you."

For a few more moments, he held her close, savoring the closeness.

But eventually, he began to shift away, trying to untangle himself from her embrace. She whimpered in her sleep, clinging to his neck, unwilling to let him go.

"Just a moment, baby," he whispered tenderly. As if hearing and understanding, she reluctantly loosened her grip.

Slipping out of bed, Aditya went to the bathroom, returning with a towel soaked in warm water.

Careful not to wake her, he gently rolled her onto her back.

Her soft, sleepy whimpers filled the room as he cleaned her with gentle care, planting feather-light kisses along her abdomen, inner thighs, and legs.

After a quick shower, he grabbed fresh bedsheets from the almirah.

He lifted her sleeping form, placing her gently on the other side. Her body stirred, and a faint murmur escaped her lips.

"Adi... it's hurting."

His heart clenched at her words. "I'm so sorry, baby," he whispered, guilt lacing his voice as he quickly finished changing the sheets.

Returning to the almirah, he retrieved two blankets.

It wasn't particularly cold, but he wouldn't take any risks.

He laid half of one blanket on the bed, then slid in beside her, pulling her securely into his arms.

Wrapping the other half over her, he ensured she was shielded on all sides-his body on one side and blanket on the other.

Finally satisfied, he pulled out the second blanket, spreading it carefully over both of them.

Peace settled over him as he gazed at her face, admiring the beauty that radiated even in her disheveled state.

To the world, she might not be the most beautiful woman, but to him, she was everything.

His life partner.

His heart.

The woman he loved beyond reason or measure.

"Words will never be enough to show you how much I love you," he murmured, brushing a tender kiss on her forehead.

"Happy anniversary, my love."

As he continued to watch her face, sleep pulled him into its embrace.

The next morning, golden sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room.

Taniya lay sprawled on her stomach, her face nestled into the space between his neck and shoulder, strands of her tousled hair cascading across the sheets.

The gentle rise and fall of her back was a beautiful contrast to the wild passion that had consumed them last night.

Aditya stirred awake, his gaze naturally drifting to his wife, who lay peacefully beside him.
