I told you. You should listen to me nayoo. Bhabhi likes blue.
No
Why would I listen to you.
Bhabhi likes red so red decoration is itVeer insisted on a blue and silver color theme for Taniya's birthday decoration, convinced that it was her favorite. But Naira, equally adamant, argued that Taniya always preferred red-a color she frequently wore. The debate raged on, with the room caught in a chromatic crossfire.
As the night unfolded, Veer and Taniya busied themselves with decorating the room, while Kavya, the mother in law suddenly in her baker avatar, whipped up a cake for the birthday girl.
Meanwhile, the grandparents huddled together, discussing gifts and contemplating hosting a party. Their grand plan? To introduce Taniya as Aditya's wife to their esteemed business associates.
Speaking of Aditya, he was diligently scouring the office for the perfect gift. After much contemplation, he settled on something that met his exacting standards.
Unbeknownst to everyone, Taniya slumbered peacefully in her room. She stirred at 11 a.m. after a tiresome night shift for two consequent days, wandered through the house, and joined the family for lunch. Later, she retreated to the balcony, engrossed in her book, until sleep claimed her.
Aditya returned from work, scanning the room for his elusive wife. His search led him to the balcony, where he found Taniya. The chilly winds prompted him to drape his coat over her. Gently shaking her awake, he said, "Sleep inside. It's cold out here."
Taniya, still half-asleep, protested, "No, it's okay. I'm not sleepy."
Aditya chuckled, recognizing her fatigue. "I know you're tired. Sleep inside. I'll wake you up for dinner."
But Taniya, now fully committed to her slumber, replied, "No, I don't want dinner. I am sleeping." She cocooned herself in the blanket-his coat, leaving Aditya amused by her sudden change of heart.
Aditya couldn't help but chuckle at the sudden transformation-from denying sleepiness to now skipping dinner in favor of slumber.
They both retreated to the room and Taniya laid on the bed while Aditya freshened up and left to have dinner, leaving Taniya to her dreams.
Downstairs, the family huddled together, their voices a soft hum as they plotted the surprise. Veer and Naira were adamant about making Taniya's birthday memorable. The cake was ready, the decorations set, and the anticipation hung in the air like a delicate secret.
Aditya climbed the stairs, his footsteps quiet. He entered their room, the soft glow of the bedside lamp casting shadows on the walls. His gaze fell upon Taniya, cocooned in warmth. In his gentlest tone, he whispered, "Have dinner. You must be hungry."
Taniya stirred, her eyes fluttering open. "No... I don't-" Her words dissolved into a sleepy murmur as she turned away, seeking refuge in dreams. Aditya smiled, amused by her stubbornness. He changed into more comfortable attire and settled on the couch, waiting.
The clock ticked toward midnight. Aditya's phone buzzed-a text from the family. He retrieved the blanket from the couch, padding silently to the door.
The room filled with their presence, each family member tiptoeing in. Naira held the cake, and at the stroke of twelve, Veer and Naira erupted:
"Happy Birthday, Bhabhi!"
Taniya jolted awake, her heart racing. "Bhabhi, we're very sorry if we scared you," Naira stammered, her excitement palpable.
