Aditya took off his blazer as soon as they got in the car. The fabric of the shirt was clinging to his skin after being in them for hours.

He looked at Taniya who was adjusting the car seat for herself.

The engine started with a roar and the car rolled away from the house.  There was silence in the car and Aditya was watching outside the window. The street lights slowly started fading behind them and the road ahead was just dark.

Aditya noticed they were going toward some lonely side of the city.

“Is this the part where you are going to kill me and throw me in woods” Aditya said making Taniya laugh.

“Agar party ka mann nahi tha, to keh dete. Main cancel kar deta. Lekin itni badi saza? Abhi to meri shaadi ko sirf ek mahina hua hai."

"Don’t worry," she said calmly while having a small smile on her lips.. "Main doctor hoon. Mera kaam logon ko bachana hai, maarna nahi."

Aditya smiled in return and once again silence enveloped them. The car kept going into the night and the forest began to get thicker  around them.

"We have reached," Taniya said softly as she switched off the engine and stepped out of the car. Aditya followed her while looking around in confusion.

There was darkness around them and the only source of light was the flashlight of the phone that illuminated the path Taniya was walking on. Adiyya was walking right behind her, crushing the dry leaves in their path.

After some minutes, Taniya switched off the light and turned left. Aditya who was following her also stopped and looked at the sight in front of him.

In the middle of the woods,a tent was  glowing with fairy lights."Wow" Aditya whispered, his smile spreading wide. "You did all this? When?"

Taniya didn’t reply as they walked towards it. Adutya peeked inside and saw blankets, food and  even a small projector that lit one side of the tent

"How???When?" he asked again, his voice getting more excited by each passing sound.

Taniya grinned while  looking at him. "Not me. My friend helped me in arranging this. You liked it?"

Aditya’s eyes lit bright as he was looking at her.

"I loved it."

Her heart filled looking at his reaction.

This was her way to say sorry and to say thank you for all he had done.

"You did so much for me," she said, walking closer to him.

“From picking me early to eating late dinners with me at the hospital and constantly checking if I’m fine. I wanted to repa-"

“Repay?” Aditya asked, interrupting her. His voice carried hurt.

Taniya quickly shook her head. “Not repay, repay. I mean… i wanted to show I value it.”Aditya’s heart eased at her words and a smile returned to his face.
