The carriage had been calmly driving on for some days now. Luo Binghe woke up after a rather short and restless sleep, hoping that they had at least arrived at their destination. With disappointment he had to discover that they were still driving and that Tianlang-jun was still sitting there, reading his poems without a care. His poems from the book he had stolen from Shizun's library!

Zhuzhi-lang was also sitting with them. He instead didn't look as carefree. From time to time he nervously looked out of the window, then back to his uncle. At long last, he managed to get together his courage and speak.

"My Lord. We are being followed," he informed.

"I am aware, kid. Now be quiet," Tianlang-jun replied, uncaring.

Zhuzhi-lang looked very uncertain. A few more times he looked out of the window. At some point Tianlang-jun got fed up with it.

"One more page and I will take care of it," he grumbled, flipping a page in his book.

For a minute Zhuzhi-lang kept quiet. Then another minute passen. And another. Tianlang-jun flipped another page, not moving from his seat. Zhuzhi-lang got restless again.

"Another page child," Tianlang-jun said, taking his time.

Zhuzhi-lang looked about to cry. Even Luo Binghe started to empathize with him although he still thought that they wouldn't be in this predicament had they just not left the mountain. Had they not, Luo Binghe could have spent a nice day, quietly sitting with Shizun as the man wrote away at his desk, writing letters.

"My Lord," Zhuzhi-lang said instantly after the third flipped page.

Tianlang-jun clicked his tongue annoyedly. "If they bother you so much then go and take care of them yourself. I am reading," he said dismissively.

Luo Binghe couldn't look fast enough as Zhuzhi-lang slid–literally slid–out of the window and jumped off the carriage. There was the sound of commotion outside, people yelling and gurgling as the carriage drove a bit slower.

"Keep going," Tianlang-jun called out to the young woman who was driving the carriage in the front. The woman immediately whistled for her overly nervous horses to continue walking.

"When will we arrive? I want to go home..." Luo Binghe complained.

"Soon," Tianlang-jun said, not looking up.

"What is soon? You also said 'soon' yesterday. I want to go home now!" Luo Binghe insisted.

"We will arrive today. Stop asking now, I am reading," Tianlang-jun replied.

Luo Binghe crossed his arms. "You stole that book from Shizun. You have no right to insist on reading it peacefully! Speaking of Shizun. Yesterday was Shizun-day. I could have been training with him instead of sitting in a dumb carriage with you. I don't want to be here!"

"But your Shizun doesn't want to train with you, that's why you're here!" Tianlang-jun snapped, "If you don't shut up I am not taking you back at all!"

"I don't need you to take me back! I can just walk back by myself!" Luo Binghe said angrily. As if to show how serious he was, he got up from his bench and walked up to the carriage's door, attempting to open it and jumping off the driving vehicle.

He didn't get far as his father grabbed him by the collar of his robes and dragged him backwards, pressing him back into his seat roughly.

"You stay seated!" he yelled, "If you think about running away, you can't complain later if you won't be able to move at all until we are at our destination!"

Luo Binghe began to tremble. Tianlang-jun had never been really angry in front of him and he was genuinely scary now that he was. Luo Binghe was about to cry. He really just wanted to go home.
