Luo Binghe was solemnly scribbling something onto a piece of paper as his father was holding a lecture for him and his disciple siblings. At some point Shen Qingqiu must have thought it was a great idea to let this man take on the role of a teacher, teaching about poetry and writing. Tianang-jun was enjoying it thoroughly. Luo Binghe not so much.

This man was not in the slightest bit qualified to stand in the spot of his actual teacher and with his dumb jokes all the time, he was making Luo Binghe look like a fool. At least the man was not completely uneducated on the topic he was trying to teach and Luo Binghe didn't feel like it was entirely a waste of time.

Still he liked to scribble rather than to listen. He had already drawn the third butterfly next to his notes, when he heard someone enter the pavilion. Almost immediately all the disciples got up to say a quick greeting to their shizun and shibo entering. Luo Binghe had missed the moment to stand and just saluted while sitting.

Something was off with the way Shen Qingqiu and Yue Qingyuan looked. Their expressions were grave and they were standing in the way they only stood when they were holding hands in their sleeves. Just by seeing the stiffness in their spine, you could see something was up.

Shen Qingiqu walked up to Tianlang-jun right away, lowering his voice to the quietest he could. "Something came up," he said, thinking a moment on how to say it before deciding that saying it straight out was the best choice, "The Palace Master of Huan Hua Palace has declared war on us. If we don't give up all of you, he will attack us with the full force of every sect he brings with him."

Tianlang-jun had been grinning up until then, but the grin faded quite quickly upon hearing this. "And Peak Lord Shen is telling me, because...?" he frowned deeply.

It was obvious what he was thinking. Shen Qingqiu had known he would think that way. But he was quick to give him an answer. "I am telling you, because we need your help with the evacuation," he said simply, "We have a lot of people that shouldn't be involved. Especially the children. I want you to take them away to somewhere safe. The others are informed that you will lead the evacuation. I think that's the safest choice."

"I thought you would ask me to offer myself up," Tianlang-jun said, heavily, "Why are you doing this for me? You could give me up so easily and you..."

"I have made a choice long ago. And even if I hadn't and we would let them kill you for good, they would not stop. He wanted us dead for a long time. If we die it's unimportant, but...not everyone should be dragged into this," Shen Qingqiu explained, "We will evacuate the kids first. That includes those from the village. If there are women who are expecting, they are going too. Leave Qi-shimei here for the time being though. There is still a task for her. And...the personal disciples of the peak lords need to remain behind as well. Bring them to Wan Jian Peak when you are done with the first groups."

Tianlang-jun couldn't do much more than nod. He was a bit overwhelmed. "I will do my best," he promised. He turned to the kids, putting on a cheerful smile, "Great news everyone. We are going on a little vacation. I'm sure you all wanted to see the demon realm before. I have a nice palace over there. It's huge and there are even hot springs."

Under the noise of a couple excited disciples, Shen Qingqiu nodded at Tianlang-jun. "Make sure they bring everything they can't replace. I don't know how bad it will get, but it's better to be safe than sorry," he advised, before leaving.

On his way out, Luo Binghe strictly followed his teacher with his eyes. Something wasn't right and it was very unlikely that there was actually going to be a genuine vacation. There was something going on and they were made to leave. If only his hearing was better...

When he looked over at Ning Yingying, the girl was also frowning deeply. Over the next few days it was more than obvious that things were more than just not alright.
