Throughout my year as an IT instructor, I’ve learned the importance of being grateful—grateful even for the little things, like your small progress, because progress is still progress. I've learned to honor my own pace and to not be too hard on myself.
This is something I’ve also learned from my students.
They gave me a small gift—a cup with beautiful flowers, sweet Kopiko candies, and a simple yet meaningful note. That moment made me feel appreciated and valued. I’m truly grateful for their thoughtfulness, and it made me feel like I’ve made an impact on their academic journey.
I’ve observed that each of them learns at their own pace, and I believe they’re capable of doing even better. That’s why it’s difficult to judge them too quickly.
Teaching is something deeper—it’s not easy at all. It’s more than most people realize.
