"Heh heh... I don't know what your three students are hoping for against Haku, but they'll never be able to defeat him." Zabuza scoffs.
"Expect to be surprised..." Kakashi remains optimistic.
"I taught him everything from an early age!" Zabuza explains. "I taught him all the fighting techniques, from top to bottom. Even in the worst situations, he always managed to produce surprising results. He's able to ignore his emotions and even give up the idea of surviving. He becomes a veritable killing machine! What's more, his techniques surpass even mine! These are the terrifying capabilities of his hereditary powers! By training him, I've given myself an incomparable weapon. It's something else than those miserable runts you carry around with you!"
"Hmpf... I'm not too worried, there's one among the three that also produces surprising results even in the worst situations. Your student has some competition with mine." Kakashi retorts.
"We'll see who comes out of the fog alive then..." A smile forms under his bandages.
But a powerful aura makes itself felt, stopping his smile and forcing them both to turn towards this source of energy.
"Oh no! That's no good! Did the fox demon seal jump?!" Kakashi exclaimed. "Shit, I've got to hurry..."
But the aura stopped after only a few seconds, surprising Kakashi even more.
"What the hell is going on? What are you doing Senji..." Kakashi worries.
"Your students are doing quite well... I didn't know any of them had so much energy, they hide their game well." Zabuza's voice echoes through the fog.
"Nobody's supposed to know..." Kakashi murmured. "Sorry Zabuza, but our duel has gone on long enough, we must end it quickly.
"Really? I was beginning to enjoy myself, but go ahead Kakashi, show me!" Zabuza charged at Kakashi, blade forward.
After several minutes of fighting, the two adults are once again interrupted by a powerful energy source, and they both turn their heads in the direction, to see a bright bluish light shining through the fog.
"So much energy, and so well focused... No kid their age can do that... What's going on?!" Zabuza exclaims.
"I don't know what you're thinking Senji... But I hope you know what you're doing..." Kakashi murmured, also taken aback by the power and precision of the energy emanating several meters from them.
The two teenagers have nothing more to say to each other, and there's only one thing to do now. Both get into position. Senji with his two short swords in hand. Haku creates blades of ice, so cold that they emit white smoke. Although Haku is accustomed to using ice, his weapons almost hurt his hands, so cold are they.
The two remain motionless, watching each other, the wind passes over the bridge, making a small sound as it slides across the frozen ground, and when the wind dies down, Haku takes the initiative. He conjures up a mirror of ice, but before he can enter it, Senji rushes towards him at full speed, slicing the mirror in two with a horizontal swing, before plunging the other blade straight at Haku. Haku's two ice blades are push forward, blocking the tip of the blade. What he hadn't taken into account was the power of the blow, which he felt through his whole body.
"What a... strength!!!" Haku pushes Senji away with difficulty.
Not wanting to give him the advantage of the attack, Haku follows up, swinging his arm, aiming for the left shoulder, but Senji deflects his attack, first tapping blade against blade, before letting it slide onto it. Senji reciprocates, vigorously attacking his opponent, who manages to dodge or deflect each of his attacks. The attacks follow each other more and more rapidly, each holding firm to his position, but with a third boost under his belt, Senji gains an ever-greater advantage. He can't keep up with him on speed, but he clearly leads him on strength.
