Chapter 99

It's past 10pm, we got back to Fuyuki around 2pm, validated our mission after a long and complicated explanation to the third Hokage, who was speechless from start to finish, and then we could finally go home. Chiyo didn't leave me alone for the rest of the day, but now I'm with the members of the occult research club, or at least I was. After a long chat and an account of my journey, they all went home, leaving only Rias and me.

Sitting on the sofa, I watch Rias prepare two cups of tea, her smile rising to her ear. Seeing her again after so much time apart warms my heart; I want to talk to her, spend time with her, just be with her. Once finished, she puts the two cups on the table and sits down next to me, our legs touching.

"Hm? What is it Senji, do I have something on my face?" She asks.

"Ah... Not at all... It's just... I'm glad to see you again, I've missed you President..." I reply, unable to look her in the eyes.

"..." Rias is speechless for a few seconds, before her face turns red, avoiding my gaze too. "I've missed you a lot too..."

Moving like a robot, she picks up her cup and takes a sip, standing up straight. Seeing her so embarrassed is rather cute.

"Senji, when we're together, can you call me by my first name? Please?" She asks, almost pouting a little.

"Okay, Rias-senpai..." I nod.

"..." She sighs, as if dissatisfied. "I'd have preferred it without the 'senpai' but it's already progress..."

"...Sorry, this is all still new to me..." I take my cup and drink the tea, the light fruity taste invading my mouth, enjoying the slightly strong side, as I'd asked her to.

"For me too, you know." She moves closer to me and rests her head on my shoulder, entwining her fingers with mine. "I always keep an almost immaculate facade, but I've never had a boyfriend before... it's a bit overwhelming, and yet I love every second between us, it's almost natural, fusional." She caresses my fingers, an almost childlike smile gracing her face. "How do you feel Senji?"

"I feel the same way." I answer honestly. "Even though these emotions still scare me a little, I feel like nothing can happen to me with you... or even Chiyo for that matter. I'm getting better and better at accepting them with your presence..."

"That's love for you." She tells me with a giggle. "Get ready for more."

She raises her head, facing me. As her face draws ever closer, so does mine, as if magnetized by her beauty, her scent adding to her attraction. We close our eyes and our lips touch, kissing delicately, as if not wanting to hurt each other. Tingles run through my body, and I want more. She does too, apparently, as she becomes a little more insistent, pressing her lips to mine. I do the same, as if we were trying to become one.

After several seconds, we finally part, out of breath. Our faces are flushed, yet we're not embarrassed. Rias moves closer, wanting more. My gaze dips into hers, seeing my reflection, I approach too, but suddenly I see Haku's mask instead of me, which makes me stop. Rias notices immediately and worries, taking my hand in hers.

"Is something wrong Senji? If this is a little too much for you, we can stop, I understand..."

"No... no it's not that..." I massage my forehead, resenting myself for worrying her again. "It's just... I don't think I've recovered from my mission yet, that's all..."

Seeing that it's about something else, Rias straightens up, putting her skirt back on properly, before patting her thighs, causing me to raise an eyebrow.

"Come on, put your head down here Senji." She almost orders me.

I swallow my saliva before taking a deep breath and lowering my head to rest it on her thighs. I look up to see what she's thinking, but something big blocks most of my vision. So I close my eyes, relaxing, being able to feel her warmth, her sweet perfume, her calm breathing. Then she runs her hand through my hair, caressing me gently.
