Flames rage all around me, consuming the remains of a phantom city. I look around, seeing and feeling nothing but heat. I squint, seeing people engulfed in flames screaming and running, but I shake my head, rub my eyes, and look again—people from my past whom I've seen only once are haunting me here.

"What a strange coincidence to be transported here..." I sigh, my vision playing tricks on me.

Suddenly, I feel a surge of heat behind me, closing in fast. I strengthen myself and take the attack head-on, letting myself be engulfed by the wave of flame. With a flick of my hand, I sweep the fire away from me, seeing the villain, who is more than a little surprised to find me still standing.

"What?!" He steps back, sensing the intensity in my gaze. "Don't mess with me, you asshole!"

He lights up his fist and charges at me, his fist raised. I brace myself to block him when suddenly, Iida appears out of nowhere and kicks him, sending him flying into a wall and right through it.

"Are you okay, Senji?!" he asked, turning to me anxiously. "You took the full brunt of his attack—are you hurt?"

"I'm fine, Iida. How about you? Did you break anything when you fell?" I ask, brushing the dust off my clothes.

"No, luckily I landed on a roof," he said, looking around. "Do you think we're the only ones here, or is someone else from our class here too?"

"I'll check." I crouch down and scan the area. "I..." I feel the strain throughout my body. "There are at least a dozen villains here... But there are indeed several people running, chasing someone..."

"Okay, then we have to go help him—and fast!" Iida exclaims, wiping the sweat from his forehead. "Although I can't guarantee we'll win."

"Don't worry about it." I reassure him, stepping closer and patting him on the shoulder to strengthen him. "If all the bad guys are like that one, then we won't have any trouble."

"..." Iida watches me walk away, looking surprised. "You seem pretty confident, class representative."

"Well..." I turn to him, scratching my cheek. "I've defeated tougher enemies than them, and the heat isn't a problem for me."

"Okay, I trust you, class representative. Show me what one of the top freshmen is capable of!" Iida exclaims, following me.

"Oh, the pressure..." I'm warming up. "Okay, here we go!"

We suddenly start running, with Iida right behind me, and he seems surprised to see me running so fast.

"Did you do something when you touched my shoulder?!" he asks.

"I've made you stronger. You should feel the stifling heat of this simulation much less now," I explain, watching my step.

"That's true... It's really impressive. Speaking of which... I didn't expect all the simulations to run 24/7," Iida remarks.

"Or maybe they're the ones who started the fire," I wonder. "The flames are really intense, though. I hope it's not the same during a training exercise."

Before Iida could say anything else, we're confronted with a scene that makes us grit our teeth. We see Kirishima on his knees, exhausted and surrounded by thugs who are mocking him and kicking him.

"Hey!!!" Iida shouts at the top of his lungs. "Stop that right now!!"

"Huh?" One of the villains turns around, his eyes glowing like two little balls of fire. "Well, I figured he couldn't be alone."
