"Hmm... What's that?" asks a customer.
"Is there a problem?" asks Kodama, holding a bottle of ketchup.
"No, not at all... your handwriting is very nice, but..." He looks at the word Kodama wrote on his omelet with ketchup, puzzled. "Why breadboard?"
"Who are you calling a breadboard?!" she exclaims, squeezing the ketchup into her hand and using it to hit the customer. "And it says 'love'!"
I leave the kitchen after helping the cooks with the many orders to prepare, passing by this scene and heading for the exit to get some fresh air, when I am called over to a table where Gen, Minori, and Aki are sitting together, eating the dishes I prepared.
"Yo Senji!" Gen exclaims, sipping his coffee.
"Hello, sensei, I hope you like it," I tell them.
"Yes, it's very good! Did you make it, Senji?" asks Aki, her cheeks slightly flushed.
"Yes." I reply.
"You're really talented, you know! I'm sure our O.B. is super jealous of your cooking skills!" Minori exclaims between bites of bolognese pasta.
"O.B.?" I repeat, not knowing what it means.
"Don't be so upset, they're not the initials of coffee for transvestites..." said Minori, which made me raise an eyebrow.
(Why would I know that?)
"It could also mean giant monster..." adds Gen.
(What are they talking about?)
"Don't listen to them, Senji." Aki calls out to me. "The owner of this restaurant is an old friend."
"It's not right to call people monsters, Gen-chan!" exclaims the boss, who suddenly appears.
"Boss?" I turn to him, now curious.
"I should have done this earlier, but allow me to introduce myself. I'm Catherine, a former member of Kuoh!" he said, blowing me a kiss.
"Your name is Goro!" Gen exclaims. "And please don't do things like that to children!"
"Minori and I were nothing more than classmates..." Catherine continued, ignoring Gen's remark. "But she helped me when I started this café... I owe her a lot..."
"No, it was normal!" Minori exclaims, a satisfied smile on her face.
"Really?" I ask, annoying Minori.
"What kind of question is that, and what's with that look? You insolent little brat!" Minori frowns.
"I had never been good at anything..." Catherine continues. "But Kuoh didn't turn me away! At least half of Kuoh's graduates work there."
"..." I look at Catherine, touched by his story, then turn to Minori, still unable to believe that this selfish teacher has helped someone so much.
"Okay, I've had enough, come and fight me!" She notices it immediately, raising her fist.
"Sorry, I'm starting to get busy, we'll talk later!" said Catherine, walking toward the counter.
"No worries!" Minori exclaims, then turns to me. "Looks like you want to say something."
"...Well..." I scratch my cheek, searching for words. "You remained friends even after graduating... I envy you a little. It would be nice if the members of Maken-ki stayed in touch like you did after graduation..."
