Here I am, sitting in a restaurant at 8 o'clock in the morning. What woke me up this morning wasn't my alarm clock, but a call from Jojo. At first, I was confused as to why he was calling me so early, but then I remembered his situation with Dio, and I answered right away.
"Sorry to wake you up, Senji, but I need you. Meet me at this restaurant, and I'll pay for breakfast!" he exclaimed before hanging up.
So here I am at the table with Jojo and two other people, with orange juice and chocolate croissants.
"Thank you for coming, Senji. First of all, let me introduce you to my cousins, Jotaro and Jolyne. They live at Fuyuki with Aunt Holy."
Jotaro is a young man of immense size, just like Jonathan, with impressive muscles, black hair, and green eyes, just like Jonathan. He greets me quickly and politely, taking his coffee.
As for Jolyne, she already has an average height with a slim but athletic body, a trait that seems to run in the Joestar family. Her hairstyle is two-toned, with dark hair at the base, two large buns on top of her head, and light-colored hair with two braids wrapped around her buns and tied together at the back in a large braid that falls to her neck. A few light strands and bangs frame her face.
"Hi, I'm Jolyne, the little sister. Nice to meet you, Senji." She greets me before returning to her phone, chomping gum.
"Jotaro, the big brother," adds Jotaro. "I didn't know he had a friend who was a member of the Maken-ki."
"Indeed, it's a pleasure to meet you both. The Joestar family has always been kind to me, so if there's anything I can do to help Jonathan..." I greet them in return before starting to eat.
"So Jonathan, can you explain what's going on?" asks Jotaro. "Calling us and asking for our help without any context isn't great."
"Yes, showing you will be easier." Jonathan rummages through his bag and pulls out a glass jar containing what looks like medicine. "It's a drug that Dio gave my father, passing it off as medicine."
We all widen our eyes upon hearing this information, but Jotaro and Jolyne become agitated, fearing for their uncle's life.
"That arrogant blond bastard is killing Uncle George!?" Jolyne exclaims, hanging up her phone. "We have to tell Mom right away!"
"No! Jolyne, please, anything but that." But Jonathan stops her. "I don't want to worry Aunt Holy any more than I have to, or make her a potential target for Dio..."
"Did you at least notify the police?" I ask. "If you want, I have a contact who can help us."
"...I feel sorry for all the police officers, but they will never be fast enough. They are already overworked, so dealing with a case as obscure as ours... They won't act fast enough to stop whatever Dio is doing."
"So you want to solve this case on your own? How do you plan to do that?" asks Jotaro.
"I have a lead, albeit a weak one, but I'm sure it's the right one," explains Jonathan. "I asked an academic to analyze this drug, but he found nothing. Which means it doesn't come from Konoha. Dio comes from the Land of Iron. This drug can only come from there."
"...You realize that exports between different states are extremely regulated, so I'd be surprised if Dio could get any through." I note.
"Didn't you ever notice? Dio would disappear for several days. He was probably going to get this drug to poison my father," Jonathan explains.
