The villains keep emerging from the black hole, taking up positions in the center of the building. We all rush up the stairs, with panic gripping most of my comrades.
"Professor! Isn't there an intruder alarm?!" Momo asks.
"Of course we have—we've set them up, but... there's no response!" No. 13 looks at a tablet.
"Is this the only part of the campus they've infiltrated, or are they attacking all the others too...?" Todoroki wonders, watching the villains scatter. "In any case, it just means there's one among them with a power that allows them to do that. An isolated area away from the school building, just as a class is ending... It might seem random, but they must have a specific objective. This isn't an ambush without a carefully laid-out plan behind it."
"No. 13, follow the evacuation procedure! And try to call the school!" Aizawa ordered, preparing to attack. "These villains know how to bypass the sensors! As Todoroki said, there's probably some kind of electromagnetic device causing interference! Kaminari, you try to contact Kuoh with your Quirk, too!"
"W...What?!" But Kaminari is far too panicked to do anything.
"Aizawa-sensei?! Are you going to fight them all by yourself?!" I exclaim, stepping toward him. "Even if you strip them of all their powers, there are too many of them!! Your battle strategy is to capture the villains after taking away their powers! Let me help you! The two of us can take them on! Trust me!!"
"Senji, I know exactly what you're capable of." Aizawa looks me straight in the eye, his words taking me by surprise. "But right now, you're a student—and besides, a hero always has more than one trick up his sleeve! No. 13, I'm counting on you!"
At his words, Aizawa leapt forward, dashing up the stairs at high speed. Several villains noticed him and aimed their powers at him—likely ranged attacks—but nothing happened, and they stared at their hands in confusion. This allowed Aizawa to close in safely; he unfurled the ribbon around his neck, wrapping it around two villains and flinging them into each other, knocking them out instantly. A four-armed mutant covered in stone scales—except for his head and neck—approaches him confidently, but Aizawa strikes him squarely in the face, sending him flying backward. He dodges a villain who has sneaked up behind him and, having hooked his ribbon around the mutant's leg, pulls on it to fling him toward the villain, crushing him.
"Unbelievable!" Inaho exclaims, his eyes sparkling. "Team battles are definitely Aizawa-sensei's specialty!"
"It looks like he doesn't need any help after all," Jiro remarks.
And yet I can't help but feel anxious, because there are three of them in that group of thugs who aren't moving, and those ones look really dangerous—especially the biggest one, with his brain hanging out.
"This isn't the time to be gazing in wonder! Let's get out of here!" Iida exclaims.
Suddenly, a wall of black clouds blocks the entrance, created by the same person who brought all those villains here.
"I'm afraid I can't allow that," he says, his figure barely visible within his power.
(Damn! Did he just disappear in the blink of an eye?!) I turn around and sure enough, he's no longer down there. (I knew it—he's one of the most dangerous ones!)
"Greetings. We are the Alliance of Villains." He introduces himself. "I apologize for our impertinence, but we took it upon ourselves to enter the Kuoh Academy, the training ground for future heroes, Hunters, and Shinobi, in order to fight Mr. All Might, the 'symbol of peace.' We were wondering if we might have the opportunity to destroy him, you see."
