Chapter 102

Seeing that the fight is over, I look at Azuki one last time, promising to save Himegami-senpai, then head for Inaho and Shiria. Yan Min stands in front, leaning against the wall, despite her wounds and bruises, she stands proudly before me.

"And what happens if I block your way?" She asks.

"You're not capable of defeating me without your sacred Gear, and you know it." I reply, stopping right in front of her.

"...It's true, I admit it, you've become much stronger Senji, there's no doubt about it." Her sincere smile disappeared, taking on a serious face all of a sudden. "But if you think you're strong enough to stand up to Kamigari, you're sadly mistaken."

"I know that, but that doesn't stop me from not being afraid of them." I say confidently. "Kiritsugu was right and those from the beginning. This organization isn't the same and hasn't been for a while."

"Maybe. We don't know what happened with Ouken-sama, but he has indeed changed, or returned to what he was before, but he is still an equal to Danzo and the third Hokage. All three have their organizations with people powerful enough inside to be considered monsters." Yan Min explains.

"...You know me Yan Min. I won't stop moving forward, no matter what the obstacles. And if Kamigari gets in my way, then I'll win, no matter what." I turn an eye towards her. "And I'll also save you in the process."

Seeing that my answer takes her by surprise, I sigh then walk away, leaving the two fighters behind.

"Hahahaha! What a stubborn one, I swear!" Azuki exclaims with laughter, lying on her back.

"...Are you sure you're human?" Yan Min asks seriously. "It seems nothing can kill you..."

"Shut up..." Azuki sighed, aching." My body's in shambles because of you..."

"Yeah... You hurt me pretty bad too..." Yan Min nods.

"...It's not true. It was Senji who did all the work, I simply gave the coup de grace." Azuki looks down the corridor, no longer seeing Senji in the dark. "I can't believe he's so strong."

"And yet..." Yan Min's eyes are filled with admiration. "He fought fair. If he'd used all his arsenal, I wouldn't have stood a chance."

"...Say, do you really mean it when you say you love Senji?" Azuki asks shyly.

"Obviously, he's an inspiration to me, he's intelligent, handsome and strong, everything I look for in a man, he's perfect." Yan Min proudly explains. "Why, are you jealous?"

"...No, it's just my role as senpai to protect him from perverts like you." Azuki said with a laugh, before pressing her stomach, aching. "And then... To be perfectly honest, he still scares me a little. I know it's not his fault but, I just can't get the images out of my head..."

"...He's scared too. Afraid of becoming that monster again." Explains Yan Min. "That's why he never stops, he doesn't want to be caught by that monster again, he wants to protect us all too."

"...By the way..." Azuki points at Yan Min. "Since I won this fight, I expect you to buy me a new uniform!"

"Hah ?!"

I step forward just enough to keep a low profile and watch Inaho and Shiria fight. Well, it's hardly a fight, as Shiria spends her time fending off Inaho, who tries to force her way through at every attempt.
