"Seventh technique, seal-sphere... Release!" Energy forms in front of Aki's hands, raising them straight at the barrier. "Opening!"
Rias and Akeno help her, swinging demonic powers at the barrier, hoping to force an opening. The powers released by the three women licks the wall of the barrier, scattering over it, but nothing can be done: the barrier stands firmly in front of them, with no damage whatsoever.
"Guh! Uhh!" Pushed back, the three women fall to the ground.
"Is everything all right?!" Uruchi asks, holding Aki-sensei by the shoulders.
"A barrier that the most competent girls in the third grade and even Aki-sensei can't cross?!" Chacha looks at what's left of the second-year building, where the blade of light came down. "And that explosion, what the hell is going on?!"
"This barrier, it was meticulously crafted by a very powerful Sacred Gear!" Akeno exclaims.
"Yes, it detects anything with powers and doesn't let them go!" Rias continues, her ego shattered.
"...So to get through either you have to be powerful enough... or you have to make sure that power is undetectable!" Finished Aki.
"So we're at an impasse, while our comrades are fighting..." Kiba clenches his fists in frustration.
"We'll find a solution, won't we? We can't just sit here and do nothing?" Kimi asks, frustrated.
"Senji-san... please be safe..." Asia whispers, helpless.
"..." Kengo looks at the increasingly despondent group, pondering something. "Sorry, if we get stuck here I won't make it! I'll be back!"
"Huh?! You pick your moments, you!" Uruchi exclaims.
"...He has an idea, doesn't he?" Kiba asked, watching his comrade slip away.
"Surely, Kengo doesn't look like it, but he can have brilliant ideas, let's let him." Assures Aki-sensei.
"Oh? So you're all here..." Kodai turns to us.
Our group passes through Haruko's crack in the roof, allowing us to reach the open air, standing up to our last opponents.
"Hey Kodama! I'm glad you're okay!" Azuki exclaims, waving at her.
"Hmmhmffmmmgrrmh!!!" Kodama has a tissue in her mouth, preventing her from formulating even a word.
"We've come to save you!!!" Haruko exclaims.
"Whoa the stairs are floating in the air!!!" Inaho is surprised by the floating tiles.
"Welcome, dear Maken-ki members!" Kodai greets us, bowing. "To think you'd go this far, I'm impressed! However, the helicopter that will be in charge of transporting Himegami Kodama is arriving in ten minutes!"
Senji..." Azuki whispers my name.
Without warning, I project a sword above my head, aiming at Kodai.
"It's unfortunate but the time has come... !" Kodai notices my attack.
I send the sword flying like a missile at Kodai, but he just moves to the side, letting the blade pass him by.
"What exactly is this supposed to be?" He asks me with a mocking tone.
Azuki rushes towards him, surprising him but not moving, not at all impressed.
