The sky turns orange-pink as the sun sinks below the horizon. Speedwagon waits impatiently in the taxi heading for the hospital. The journey isn't too long, but to him it seems to take forever. Finally, they arrive and the taxi drops him off right in front of the entrance.
"Thanks, my friend." Speedwagon pays the taxi driver and gets out, hurrying into the hospital.
He asks at reception and, following their instructions, heads to his young friends' rooms. Arriving on the right floor, he sees a group of people coming out of Senji's room. Three young girls, one with a bowl cut, another with shiny blonde hair, and the last one who looks younger, with gray hair. An adult accompanies them, probably their father, but they all have one thing in common: they all seem relieved.
(Probably Senji's relatives.) Speedwagon takes off his hat and greets them with a smile before continuing on his way.
Arriving at Senji's door, he straightens his clothes and fixes his hair before knocking on the door.
"Come in." A simple, monotonous reply is heard.
Speedwagon opens the door and sees Senji, putting on his sweater, already standing and looking brand new, as if his injuries had never been there, even though fatigue is evident on his face. But looking more closely, Speedwagon notices patches on his hands and face, cold patches, treating the severe heat Senji has suffered.
"Senji, I'm relieved to see you back on your feet so quickly!" Speedwagon exclaims. "Your friend has extraordinary powers!"
"Good evening, Speedwagon." Senji turns to him, picking up his bag. "Glad to see you're doing well too. Asia has great power, but even she can't do anything about the excess heat, so they stuck me with all those stuff, which is pretty annoying." He explains, waving his hands, which are completely covered in bandages.
"It's already a miracle that you and Jojo are alive," Speedwagon agrees. "If you're up, do you want to come with me to see Jojo?"
"Hmm, I doubt he's awake. Compared to me, Jojo has no durability or anything. Asia may have healed him, but the intense heat of the fire will surely keep him bedridden for a while," explains Senji.
"I understand... But I need to see him. His cousins may have already visited, but I need to see him. I know I'm powerless, and that I'm just a friend... but I'd like to give him hope. After all, he lost his father, his home, and his brother... I want to help him!" Speedwagon exclaims, moved.
"..." Senji looks at Speedwagon, contemplating him, before making his decision. "Okay, let's go."
"Great decision, and he'll be happy to know you're up and healthy!" adds Speedwagon, opening the room door.
He invites Senji to come out and closes the door behind him, heading toward Jojo's room, closely followed by Senji. Speedwagon turns to Senji, who is looking at the floor, his face clouded with fatigue but above all with regret.
(He just killed a classmate from his school, and he's having a hard time dealing with it...) Speedwagon remarks.
Stopping in front of Jojo's door, Speedwagon turns to Senji and places his hand on his shoulder. Senji looks up, staring at Speedwagon's hand.
"You did the right thing, Senji. Dio's fate was sealed the moment he tried to poison George Joestar," Speedwagon asserts.
"...I know, thanks Speedwagon." Senji nods weakly.
Reassured, Speedwagon turns his attention back to the door and reaches for the handle, but Senji stops him. Surprised, Speedwagon looks at him, but Senji puts a finger to his lips and, using his magic, quietly and discreetly opens the door, allowing them to glimpse what is happening inside.
