Chapter 91

Zabuza swings his blade horizontally, forcing Kakashi to the ground. The tip of the huge sword sinks into the ground and, with momentum, leans on the pommel and delivers a powerful kick to Kakashi, sending him waltzing for several meters, until he falls into the water. Zabuza releases his sword and goes after Kakashi, I throw my kunai but he's faster, disappearing from my field of vision.

"It's astounding... He managed to send Kakashi-sensei flying..." Sakura couldn't believe her eyes.

"Yeah... he's also very strong in taijutsu..." Sasuke added.

Kakashi tries to get out of the water, but Zabuza appears behind him, making hand signs.

"Heh heh... Poor fool! Aqueous prison technique!" He exclaims.

Suddenly, a ball of water forms around Kakashi, trapping him inside.

"What the?!" Kakashi tries to struggle but the water around him is too heavy. "What a mistake, I shouldn't have dived into the water!"

"heh heh heh, I've got you! Impossible to escape this watery prison!" Zabuza scoffs. "It'll be easier, now that you're neutralized. I'll settle your account later. First I'll get rid of your little companions. Aqueous cloning!"

He makes a hand sign, then a few meters from us appears a Zabuza clone made of water, rising from the ground like a zombie.

"Heh heh heh, so kids, we think we're big shinobis, foreheadband and all? But you know, a real shinobi is someone who's had a close encounter with death." The clone begins to create a fog around himself. "Until you have the level to appear in my identification book, you're not worthy of the name shinobi. To me, you're nothing but gnats..."

Suddenly, he disappears completely. Seeing this, I concentrate, focusing on the fluidity of the energy around me. I activate my magic circuits, strengthening my body, and bring both my forearms forward, blocking a kick coming out of the fog. The force is so great that I'm propelled backwards, sliding on the ground.

"Senji!" Sakura calls to me, worried.

"Oh... Not bad for a common brat." Zabuza comments.

"Hungh!!! Listen to me!" Kakashi draws our attention. "Run away! Take Tazuna away from here! You don't stand a chance against Zabuza! But he can't move as long as he keeps me in this liquid prison! His clone won't be able to get far either! He can only control him within a certain perimeter! So run, quickly!"

Sasuke and Sakura look at Kakashi, their faces drenched in despair. Of course he's powerful, and the next logical step would be to flee, because he could end up tearing us to pieces. But for some reason, I'm not afraid, and the pain in my arms reminds me that I haven't convinced everyone to carry on for nothing. And now it's time to start my footsteps in Kiritsugu's, running is out of the question, sure he's strong, but the Zabuza in front of us is just a clone, so it's possible.

I suck in energy, covering my forearms with a thin layer of raw energy, and charge towards the watery clone.

"No!! Stop it!!!" Kakashi yells.

"He's lost his mind..." Sasuke is dumbfounded.

"Senji! What the hell is wrong with you?!" Sakura held her head, exasperated.

"Um... Miserable vermin..." Zabuza scoffs.

He grabs the handle of his weapon behind his back and draws, bringing his blade down on me. In a bluish flash, I project a sword and use it to deflect his blade, sliding it over mine until it sinks into the ground, startling Zabuza. Once done, I drop my weapon and strike with all my might, shattering the water clone.
