Chapter 2

Glen’s POV

I try to forget it, forget the experiments. The trials the crap they used on me to make or break me. But I can’ just forget.

I sat in my cell. I knew what I can do. I’ve known for a long time, but I sat there perfecting my art in a dark corner. They didn’t know what I could do but they would learn soon enough.

The next thing I know I heard running a lot of it. Then gun fire, screams and cries. Suddenly the door I was leaning against flew open. I feel out and watched as the kids, the oldest about 20 run from their cells.

I got up and ran. There weren’t as many kids going this way and most of the gun fire came from behind us. I noticed a little girl.. about ten was running next to me. I didn’t care, I just ran, but then the guards came. One kid in front of me just disappeared into light and was gone.

Then the little girl next to me screamed and it was if shock waves came from her mouth, crumbling and cracking the wall of the hallway. The guards were knocked off their feet. A wall caved i and crushed two of the guards the others didn’t move.

The girl just looked at me, smiled, and then we ran off. The next thing I know I hear a gun shot and the girl falls. She was innocent... only ten years old. I turned around as one guard not in the rubble was turned around with a gun in his hand.

I stood there and felt the power. The guard watched the lights flicker and the shadows around us move towards me. The darkness covered him and the lights until we were almost in complete darkness.

“You should of feared the dark.” I said as the last last of the light was engulfed, then I heard the guards mangled scream.
