Chapter 41

Sabrina’s POV

Slowly we loaded into the vehicles. I don’t know where we going to go yet, I just knew everyone needed sleep. Slowly and tiredly I drove looking for a motel. Kayla and Haley were in the back seat, their eyes penetrating onto me just to make sure I wasn’t going to pull anything. Janelle had gone in Brett’s Jeep, I didn’t blame her. I wouldn’t really want to be smushed next to two strangers.

“There.” Steven said pointing towards a bright sign that said “Motel”

I pulled into the parking lot and parked. Quickly I unbuckled and hoped out of the Jeep.

“Everyone stay here.” I yelled walking towards the entrance

“You sure you don’t want me to come with you?” Steven asked unbuckling

“I’m a big girl.” I said turning around

Once inside I walked up to the desk where there was a receptionist who looked in her early thirties. “How may I help you?” she asked logging onto her computer

“I need four double bedded rooms.” I said pulling out the cash from my pocket

She silently clicked around on her computer.  “I’m afraid we only have three available, I can get you an extra cot in one room if you need me to.”

I thought for a second and sighed. “No, it’s fine. Just give me the three doubles and one single.”

“Okay, I need a first and last name please.” She said with a smile and I thought quickly for a second

“Nicole Simmons.” I lied and she typed it into her computer

“Okay Ms. Simmons, that will be two hundred and seventy five dollars.” She said pressing enter on her computer

Quickly I gave her three hundred and she opened the cash register to give me change. She swiped the keycards and handed them to me with my receipt.

“Enjoy your stay.” She said with a fake smile

I walked out of the front doors and shoved the change in my pocket. I walked over to the van and knocked on the window.

“Everyone out.” I shouted

Quickly everyone unloaded from their vehicles all looking either tired or bored. I gathered everyone up and took a hold of the key cards.

“Okay Me and Steven are going to go shopping for food, does anyone need anything?” I asked and paused silence filling the air. “Phantom, Haley, Steph and Bridget are in room 132. Alice Katelyn and Becky in 136. Glen, Brett, Josh and Nick in 140. Any questions?” I said quickly

Again silence filled the air. I handed out the keys and jumped back into the Jeep with Steven, quickly we drove to Meijer.

“Where are we staying?” he asked as we paused at a red light

“They only had three doubles, you and me and staying in room 142.” I said not wanting to see his expression but I knew he was smirking

“Okay.” He said “That’s fine, I’m okay with making sacrifices.” And he started chuckling

“Stop it.” I said and slapped him across the chest

“Oww that hurt.” He said rubbing where I slapped him

“You deserved it.” I said tauntingly

I pulled into the parking lot and parked. And we both hoped out of the Jeep and walked into the store; I pulled a cart out from the curial and started walking towards the food department.

After we finished buying the food, I was walking out to the Jeep, pushing a cart full of groceries. Slowly I looked at the cars until my eyes landed on the Jeep, but parked next to it was a Lamborghini.

“Sh*t” I cursed stopping, Steven stopping behind me

“What?” he asked and I ushered with my head over to the sports car, his eyes grew wide and his grin fell
