YEY!! CHAPTER 50!! NEVER EVER THOUGHT WE'D GET THIS FAR!! *SHOOTS OFF STREAMER AND THROWS BALLOONS UP INTO THE AIR* (btw I think for 50 chapters I deserve a couple of votes... don't you think so?) ENJOY!!!
Glen's POV
I was in a car with Brett, Becky, and the twins. We stole the car. Well not really stole, the person was selling it at the restaurant and Brett hot-wired it and gave a couple hundred to the restaurant owner in case the owner of the car came back. I still didn't know how we were going to get medical attention. Kayla just sent me a mental message saying "we have a plan" so Brett just kept driving.
We still don't know who shot Sabrina with the arrow, but I had a feeling that Mark had something to do with it. I saw Brett take a quick right turn as he pulled into someone’s house. I quickly opened the door and unloaded everyone as Steven ran following Josh to the front door, carrying Sabrina who had passed out.
"What's going on?" I asked Kayla who was quickly at my side
"Josh's uncle is a doctor, he lives here." Kayla said and I heard Steven chanting over and over again: Please be home, Please be home. As Josh pounded on the door.
"Does he know?" I heard Kale ask who was now behind us as we tried to keep our distance. "Like about the mutant stuff?"
Kayla just stood there and nodded. I didn't really want to hear the whole story. Suddenly the door flew open and I saw Steven and Josh run inside the house. Kayla, Kale and I quickly followed.
"Why can’t we just bring her to the hospital?" I heard Josh's uncle ask as he slipped on surgical gloves hovering over Sabrina who lay knocked out on the kitchen table.
"Cause she's like us." Josh whispered, but I still heard him
Us? How could Josh's uncle be like us? I quickly saw his uncle starting to apply some anesthetics to Sabrina's shoulder as Steven still gripped tightly onto her.
"I'm gonna need some room." his uncle said as soon as our whole gang piled into the dining room. "There’s a basement downstairs. Help yourself to anything.” he added as he started to pull the arrow out
Kayla and everyone else besides Me, Steve, Kale, and Josh started towards the stairs.
"Can you go watch everyone?" Steven asked Kale his voice shaky and then eyed me and Kale gave a slight nod and headed towards the stairs
"Do you mind if I stay?" I asked and Steven shook his head. I really didn't want to be in a basement with Brett and Katelyn. Plus I wanted to make sure Sabrina was okay.
"She's lost a lot of blood." Josh's uncle said "I'm gonna have to take off her shirt to bandage her. So you guys have to leave."
I could tell Steven didn't want to leave her side. Plus who would miss the chance to see your girlfriend shirtless? Wow, mind out of the gutter Glen.
"Come on." I said walking over to him and putting my hand on his shoulder. "She'll be okay." I told him but I didn't know if it was true.
He got up and kissed Sabrina on the forehead and started to walk towards the stairs.
"Wait," he said stopping and starting to take off his shirt, and I stared at him in shock "Put her in this once you’re done." he said handing Josh's uncle his shirt.
"You sure?" Josh's uncle asked and he nodded "there's some spare shirts in the basement. Help yourself." he added
Silently I followed Josh and the shirtless Steven down the flight of stairs to the basement.
The look on everyone’s faces was hilarious when Steven walked down the stairs. I silently chuckled to myself.
"Is she okay?" Kayla asked Steven as he sat down on a sofa.
