Chapter 33
Haley’s POV
It felt like someone had stabbed me with a bunch of knifes and they went right through my skull into my brain. I clutched my head, still throbbing from what had just happened.
“Are you okay?” I asked looking at Kayla who was on her knees
She didn’t say anything but gave me a quick nod.
“What was that?” Glen asked breathlessly looking at me
“I don’t know.” I gasped trying to take in as much air as I could
I looked over across the street, no one had stopped what they were doing, almost like they didn’t care that there was three teenagers who almost died.
“Kayla.” I said crawling over to her and trying to help her up “What are we going to do?”
“I don’t know..” she whispered grabbing my hand “I don’t know.”
Sabrina’s POV
I slowly started to regain consciousness. I could tell we were still outside, the highway buzzing in my ear and the smell of grass overwhelmed my nostrils.
“Is she dead?” I heard Katelyn ask
“Dude we need to get her to a hospital.” Josh said
“She doesn’t look dead….” One of the twins said
Then I heard more questions and bickering come from the group
“Everyone shut up!!!!” I heard Steven yell
I felt my lungs fill with air and I started coughing into the dirt underneath me.
“Whoa, everyone back up.” I heard Becky say
I slowly opened my eyes, only to be blinded by the bright sun. What happened to me?
“Are you all right?” I heard Becky ask, her hand on my wrist checking my pulse
“Wh….at.. What happened?” I asked stumbling over my words
“There was this high pitched noise, you collapsed.” Becky whispered to me
It all came back to me then.. noise, throbbing, pain,… Mark. I quickly sat up and then pushed myself to my feet.
“Let’s go.” I said, everyone staring at me in shock.
“Are you sure?” Josh asked puzzled
“Hell yeah I am.” I replied walking towards the Jeep.
