─── ⋆⋅🎀⋅⋆ It was a miracle the law hadn't caught up to them earlier. At least that's what Evangeline thought as she sat in the cold interrogation room. It was about time. She knew better than anyone how fast luck could dry up.

And it seemed hers had as she was sat in a police station, Dean somewhere in handcuffs and Sam, same as her probably being interrogated.

The only thing Evangeline could think about was her interrupted sleep once more. She frowned coming to terms with the fact that she'd likely never get a full night's rest again.

The door swung open and into the room walked an officer. At least that's what she looked like. The woman was short, her light brown hair was covered in honey highlights.

“Thought you might be thirsty” was the first thing she said as she set down a cup of coffee on the counter. Though Evangeline wanted to be cold toward the officer she took the coffee without hesitation. It was the least they could do after ruining her night.

She brought it to her lips “little dull but it will work” she shrugged kicking her legs up on the metal table. “So I'm assuming you're the good cop” she tilted her head “is your partner gonna bust in all harsh soon or what”?

“Oh no, he's with your boyfriend”.

She tilted her head at the word.

“Oh yeah, I know about your little Bonnie and Clyde plus the tag along little brother bit".

Evangeline smirked at that. “Okay. And you're holding us why”?

“Well, your boyfriend is being held on suspicion of murder. And you and the other one, we'll see”.

“Murder?!” she spat out “absurd”.

“You sound genuinely surprised. Or are you that good of an actor”?

“Who was he supposed to have murdered”?!

“We'll get around to that”.

“Well, you can't just hold us here without formal charges”!

“Well actually, we can, for forty eight hours, I assumed you would know a little about the law, this isn't the first time you've been questioned in a police office”.

She scowled at the indication.

“That's right, I know all about you”.

Evangeline scoffed “Oh, I'm sure you do”.

“You're twenty-six, a girl from the nowhere town of Drearmore, parents dead, brothers off the grid, and your sister dead”.

“Don't talk about my sister” she gritted.
