Chapter 41: The Series Reboot

This chapter is dedicated to those who have tragically lost their lives because of bigotry. Rest in power, Johnathan Joss and all others whose lives have been cut short because of bigots too fragile to accept diversity. *funny anime music* We're on a float in a Pride parade and none of us have never been to a Pride event before nor has where we are ever had a Pride event before. *stares at you readers with a uncharacteristically mischievous grin* "Whoops! I guess last chapter wasnt the last chapter after all!" *Hardcore Punk background music* All of us Caped Misfits start intentionally singing badly: "Hey hey, guess what! This is the reboot! The series just ended last month but now its back for a reboot! Call this season 3 because there was technically a season 1 before that 2 month or so hiatus for Chaotic Hangouts and you could say that every chapter since then until last time was season 2! Well, this is season 3 and no, this isnt a theme song! You think we have the budget for something like that, dont you? Well, sorry to disappoint you but this story is on a fanfiction site and it makes fun of so many things, why would it need another theme song? Wasnt there one in chapter 1? Cant even remember. That's what we get for none of us reading the first chapters of this story in full in ages! Laalalalalallaa! BAD SINGING! No musical structure in our words like always because we stopped giving enough of a damn years ago for *everyone points at me* THEM to have a coherent song with a organized musical structure to actually write about!

Yeah, this is the reboot but dont expect it to be some kind of special where a huge gag is flipped on its head or we go to space and defeat a fascist empire simply by drinking way too many space shakes. Who said we were going to follow all of the rules of storytelling? Look at us! Breaking the 4th wall for like the 50th time! This is not a theme song. For the last time, this is not a theme song. Would this chapter really be considered a reboot? No but we're going to make that everyone's problem. We're all a bunch of queers, our mere existence is considered a problem to way too many weirdos across the multiverse! Yeah! Its Pride Month! Pride started as a riot, never forget the blood, sweat, and tears that enabled the way of acceptance and inclusion of the 2010s and this decade. Queers like us have always been here and we will always be around. Destroy our universes, destroy our lives, destroy our rights, destroy our bodies, and all of that other nonsense and that will still not change the reality of the fact that queers will always be around!" Carlos yells: "HEY MUSIC, SHUT UP, WE'RE DOWN WITH YOU!" It doesnt stop. Dominic face palms: "Hes going to fight the background music. What a nap causation." The ninja leaps into the air and tries to chase after the background music. I sweatdrop: "He does realize that hes ruining this parade and..

That trying to find the background music to beat it up isnt going to work, right? The music is evenly distributed, you cant track down its source with that in mind." The ninja vanishes from the universe and reappears by dragging down a live band back with him. One of their members is protesting: "Let us go! We didnt do anything wrong! Someone has to play the background music!" For some reason, all of this was broadcasted at such a volume that everyone watching or in the Pride parade could hear it all clearly over anything else like it a TV series they were listening to on their earbuds because everything just stopped. Everyone was in disbelief and confusion over what is going on. Carlos expresses visible confusion. "What?!" Is someone going to explain what's going on? I sigh: "Isnt it obvious whats going on here? This band here is behind the background music at least this time. Okay, I dont entirely understand whats going on either! Like huh?! Why are you all playing the background music, who hired you, and why is it necessary?" The bassist replies after Carlos just lets them go once they're all dragged into this universe: "WE HAVE ALWAYS PLAYED THE BACKGROUND MUSIC OR AT LEAST SOME OF IT!" Discord pops in: "Did you just say that in a way to imply you have been creating at least some of the background music for every story thats told through some kind of media? Your lives must be truly chaotic and upside down with how much dedication that takes!" They shake their head and point at me: "Just the series that follows them as the narrator!"
