"Mum I'm home!" I yell out as I chuck my bag to my left. I'd pick it up later, actually I probably wouldn't knowing me. I'd end up picking it up when I really need it or if I was lucky mum would pick it up for me, hopefully.
"Oh, hey." My younger brother Tom is sitting on the couch watching TV, strange I think. My brother was a sporty type unlike me, I liked to sit around and do nothing. Well not completely, I liked sport but I'd rather be doing nothing. Not only was he sporty, he had good looks unlike me I was an average. With his brown wavy hair and tanned skin, but then I had wavy dark brown hair and not so tanned skin more like an olive tone. A lot of people thought we were twins and not just cause we looked alike but we were really close. Tom was like my bestie and I was like his. I went to him for everything and he came to me for everything. We didn't ever really bicker, maybe the occasional argument but usually we'd be messing with each other for fun.
"What's up with you?" I nod to the couch and TV giving him a hint of what I mean. He stands up and stretch's making me feel like a shrimp because he was younger than me but a bit taller. I'm not extremely short but I'm not tall either.
"I rolled my ankle at footy training." He smiles handing me his ice pack. I frown at it for a second not knowing what to do with it.
"Please?" I look at him trying to take in what he meant. I feel so clueless. "Go put it away." He says not smiling anymore but laughing at me. Yeah yeah Tom, go ahead laugh at me.
"Oh." I walk of and into the kitchen and put it into the freezer. Our kitchen is pretty nice, it's fit a tiled floor and has a grey and whit kinda theme in her which actually just makes it look spacious. Don't know how it does that but it does.
"Oh, hey honey. How was your day?" Mum has walked into the kitchen carrying a few shopping bags. She's obviously been shopping, I'm actually surprised she's home, my mums a work addict. She's always at work and hardly is ever at home resulting in us not being that close.
"Confusing." I said not even realising what I'd said. But hey it had been a confusing day, cause I still had no idea why those guys had been pointing at us and obviously talking about us. It just doesn't make much sense so I had every right to be confused. But that didn't mean it was the best idea blurting it out to Mum.
"Confusing?" My mum looks at me confused herself with her brows all scrunched up.
"Oh...um no, I meant.....um..pollused. Yeah pollused." Yeah because that was a great one Georgia, just great. I'm not even sure if that's a word, probably not but it can be now.
Mum looks at me wide eyed. "Have you been hanging around that Victoria to much, because that's a big word that even I don't know." Mum laughs, and I thought well it actually isn't a word at all. While mum was having a laughing fit I slip out of the room to do homework and call Katie. I needed to talk to her about today because I was seriously confused. Well maybe not as confused as I'd just made my Mum but anyway. Plus I should probably tell her about my detention, we might have to reschedule shopping or something.
But before I could even pick up the phone to call her a familiar figure stood at my door way. She was weird just popping up all the time. One time it was dark and she just walked in. I screamed because a) I had recently watched a horror movie and b) she didn't tell me she was coming so I had no idea what or who it was. She only lived a few streets away so she had a tendency to pop up and it was scary. I had asked her to text me but she just would say sorry I forgot to.
"So, today?" Katie plopped down on my bed, I frowned now I was going to have to make it again. Yeah I know, lazy. But I put a lot of effort into making my bed. It had neat little pillows and a rug that I threw on it that matched it neatly. Yeah I guess you could call me a neat freak or just someone who liked things to match. In my room I had my bed which had a stripy black and white quilt cover in it and then it had blue, black and white pillows on it with the blue rug thrown over the end. I had a white desk with my laptop and a few other things and then a nice handy mirror whilst I had my own bathroom and walk in wardrobe. To be honest, I loved my room.
