"Sleepover party!" Todd and Katie exclaimed. I reckoned they were both three.
Todd an Katie were choosing out the movie which was becoming difficult because me and Sam wanted horror while Katie wanted romance and Todd wanted anything funny. Brent had said that he really didn't mind but really I could tell somewhere in there he would have an opinion.
We had rounded up every blanket and pillow in the household and laid them all out on the lounge room floor. So really my whole lounge room looked like a big bed. Luckily mum wasn't coming home tonight, she had rung up saying she was really busy with work and wouldn't make it home tonight. I didn't expect her to come home though, not after our little argument.
"So what movie?" I asked as I crawled across the ground over to Sam and Katie. They were now arguing between a drama and a horror, what was going on before my eyes was a horror or maybe a drama.
"I want to watch this," Katie said dramatically holding up a soppy love story, "while he wants to watch this!" She said holding up a much better movie that even scared me and not much scared me. I was preferably interested in the horror and action. The chick flicks weren't really my thing. They were just so predictable, the guy would probably be stuck up and then this girl would have a crush on him and then after a while they would find out that there hopelessly in love with eachother. See what I mean, just predictable.
I grabbed two random movies out of the cupboard and walked over to Brent. We needed a decision and Katie, Sam and Todd weren't helping. "Which one?" I asked him.
He smiled warmly. "So you trust my decision will be good." He said with a smirk, his eyes twinkling.
Well I wanted to trust him but I didn't know what kind of movie he liked. "I just want a decision." I admitted.
He laughed and grabbed the movies of of me and sat down on the couch. I sat beside him looking at my random choices, I had chose a action packed romance and a horror romance. Either one I'd be happy with. Well the romance wasn't exactly the best but it wasn't a movie based all around romance. I could feel all eyes were on Brent, the room was silent for once. I couldn't imagine any of us getting any sleep tonight. I felt bad for the guys on the ground it would be really uncomfortable. Me and Brent had first dibs on the couch. He would go up one end and I'd be up the other, I just hoped he didn't wriggle around to much. And if anyone snored I would punch them fair in that loud nose of theirs, I needed my sleep if you couldn't tell already.
Finally what seemed like forever Brent slowly stood up and placed a movie in the DVD player. Drum roll please, he chose the action packed romance. So he was a softie, cute. Wait....what? I just called Brent cute. Kill me now.
Katie squealed with delight with seeing what the movie choice was. What she didn't know is that there was some snakes in this video and she hated snakes. So this would be funny. Katie being dramatic was always funny. Todd and Sam booed like the idiots they were.
Brent came down and sat beside me on the couch. "Did you like my decision?" He nudged me an amused smile on his lips.
"It's not to bad." I admitted nudging him back.
"Good, have to keep my lady pleased." He sang.
"Your lady?" I quizzed. I wasn't anybody's lady. I was a free woman in a free country.
"Yes." He smiled at me before lying back on the couch and pulling me with him. Really dude. He was such a touchy guy.
"I just hope my mum doesn't decide to come home." I grumbled wriggling a little away from Brent, he just laughed.
"Please don't kick us out." He pouted his lip making him look like a three year old. Well he was a three year old so it wouldn't be hard for him I guess. I was about to say something back but Katie decided to interrupt.
