Mum had just rung to catch up and gosh was she clingy and worried. I couldn't blame her but it was kinda annoying. I was literally kicking myself for not telling her everything that had been happening sooner. I was pretty stupid because now she was in a pretty cranky mood. So yay for me, that just made my whole life a whole lot easier.
I put my phone in my back pocket and headed back to the lounge where Brent and Sue were. I couldn't help but notice that they looked pretty serious. They weren't talking but they seemed pretty serious looking.
"What's up?" I ask as I sit beside Brent and snuggle into him. I feel him lay his lips on my head in a quick peck and I can feel the smile on his lips too. Just feeling that smile makes me smile.
"Nothing." They both reply at the same time making me even more supisciois. I raise an eyebrow at them both only to have them ignore me.
"Nothing?" I question the pair of them. I watch as they look at each other and then back at me.
"Nothing's happening Georgia, really." Brent reassures me as I sit up.
"Okay!" I reply cheerily and Sue laughs at me enthusiasm.
Sue gets up from her seat across from us, "I'm going to sleep you two, have fun but not to much fun." She cheekily says to us and I can't help but let my jaw drop.
I scowl at Brent as he sees my facial reaction and laughs at me, the twit. I hit him on the chest as hard as I can but of course the guy doesn't even flinch. Sometimes I have second thoughts about him being so musclie, it looks nice but it gives me disadvantages. I then remember though as my hand brushes the small but well defined bump that creates his scar.
"Brent we should talk." I tell him as I sit up properly and immediately as I turn serious Brent does too. He looks a me questionably at first but then looks worried.
"Have I done something?" He asks the worry clear in his voice. He lays his hands on my shoulders and looks deep into my eyes searching.
"No!" I say quickly. "I've just got some questions." I tell him quietly. I want to know everything that has happened to him. I want to know the full story of his life, even if it's gruesome or cruel. This was Brent's life and I wanted to know it all.
"What kind of questions?" He asks stress clear in his voice. He sighs as he runs his hands through his hair making him twice as drawl worthy as before. I don't think he knows how good he looks when he does that.
"Brent I know you might not want to talk about everything in your life but I want to know." I tell him, "And I understand if you struggle with opening up but I want and feel like I need to know everything." He looks at me with sad eyes but I watch astonished as he nods.
"Wait, really?" I ask him, really that easy?
"Yes Georgia." He smiles at me. "Your my beautiful girlfriend and my best friend. You deserve to know and it may not be pretty but if you want to know then I'm prepared to share." I can't help the light blush that appears on my cheeks and the feelings of complete happiness inside me as he says all that.
"I love you, you know?" I tell him as I lean forward and kiss him on the lips. He kisses me back softly.
"I love you more!" He argues and I just whisper under my breath no you don't. It's no point arguing out loud with him, he wouldn't give up.
"Okay, so how about you start?" I prompt Brent.
So that's when he started, "Okay well it was me my mum Adele, Nolan (my twin), Hayley, Hayden, Felicia and Sarah. And then there was my dad David. We were a happy family, there was absolutely nothing wrong with our family. If anything, it was perfect. When I was about maybe six mum and dad started to argue, not massive amounts but it started there. After a while it became more common and more agressive. After a while dad would get so fed up that he'd just leave and go to the pub to have a drink. Mum didn't do anything, she just put up with it. You know, she was that kinda person." He sighs loudly and rubs his face with his hands. I take his hands in my own just to comfort him.
