Mum dropped me off at school like usual, it was chilly and I pulled my coat closer to me as I headed over to meet Katie at our usual spot outside. We usually met up at a park bench thingy at the front of the school outside because we were just cool like that.

"You took your time." Katie says as she stands up from one of the many benches around the schools front garden. I start to walk over to her waving Mum of and so she drives of at my comand, pretty cool.

"Sorry, we had to drop Tom of to some sport thing." I sigh, at least he wouldn't talk to Brent about me and Katie's conversation. Today anyway, knowing him he'd probably wring them some time soon or hopefully he'd forget.

"Your brothers still good looking?" Katie teases me. She had always had a thing for Tom (not like her thing for Todd), not that she acted on it like with other guys. It was more of a teasing thing now, only because it would weird me out if they were together. It would be cute and all but no. I wouldn't allow it. And anyway I don't think Tom would agree, I think he thought of Katie in more of a sisterly way than a lovey way.

"Not as good as me!" I said jokingly flicking my hair and striking a pose. I could be pretty good looking when I wanted to be. Actually screw that I was just hot all the time.

"Ha ha, yeah yeah!" She teases and I punch her on the shoulder, I knew I wasn't that good but no need to be harsh. I rather people be nice than honest.

"Anyway I'd better go, yay English!" She does jazz hands, I knowing her though knew she wasn't really excited. I didn't mind English, we did have a seating plan but it wasn't that bad. I sat next to Sam, Brent and Todd's friend. He was the bad boy out of the lot. But really he wasn't that bad he was nice to me anyway. He always said hi and usually asked for answers because like a boy he never listened. We'd been in the same English class for a long time and had become good friends. The popular girls who liked him usually sent me death glares but he was fun to hang out with, plus we were english buddies.

I push the classes door open and walk over to my seat. "Hey!" Sam calls out and pulls my seat out for me. Weird, he hasn't don't that before.

"Hi." I sit down, he didn't usually pull my chair out for me. I was just about to ask but Mrs Claire walks in. Mrs Claire was nice I guess, she was pretty perfected and all which sucked because then we had to be all perfect like her to get good grades. She starts to call the roll and talk about our next essay, yay I needed one of those.

"Essays fun!" Sam says sarcastically voicing my thoughts. I keep in a giggle.

"You haven't even handed in the last one." I point out to him. He probably should but I knew he wouldn't, he did try and he was smart but he didn't ever listen. I don't get how he can be smart even though he doesn't listen, it's so unfair.

"I know, but what did you expect?" He says and I realise he was really asking me. What did I expect? Well I didn't expect him to hand it in so I guess he reached my expectations. Good boy.

"I could help you." I volunteer not even thinking about it before it comes out if my mouth. I probably sounded to willing to help but who cares, I kinda did want to help but then again I didn't. I mean helping takes effort and I was horrible at that but then again I wanted to be nice and help my friend In His time of need.

"Really, like when and where?" He asks reluctantly. I think about this, I was free tonight but then Katie always seemed to pop up and where, probably my house would be best and easiest.

"Tonight you free?" I ask, nice and casually. I don't want sam to get the wrong idea.

"Yeah but I did promise Brent to chill with him, he wanted to talk." He had a tense look on his face but I ignore it and don't ask. So technically he was saying he was free but not free, I was confused again.
