We were sitting in a cute small window cafe in the food court. The sun was warm on my back and I was happy I had worn a singlet but was a bit uncomfortable because Brent kept looking me all over and always slowed down there and at my butt. Not that he knew that I knew that but I intended to keep it that way.
"So you guys?" Katie asked as she swirled some spaghetti on her fork. I looked over at Brent who was smiling at me but wasn't answering so I copied Katie and started playing with my food and Brent elbowed me in the side. I glared at him and he shoved me back encouraging me to answer.
"Yes us guys." I said sarcastically knowing it would annoy Katie.
"Actually guy and very attractive lady." Brent corrected winking at me and I couldn't help but blush.
"Oh well that just says it! You guys love each other!" She threw her arms up in the air and looked at us admiringly. I blushed and noticed Brent staring at me the same way that Katie was staring at us with.
"We do." Brent said as he leaned forward to probably kiss me but stopped when I hesitated.
"What?" He whispered so close to me it tickled my skin.
"Katie and Todd." I answered whispering while wondering while we were whispering.
"What about them?" He asked with a mischievous smile so close to me that it was hard to ignore.
"We're probably giving them an eyeful." I said not as a whisper because they were probably hearing us anyway even if we were whispering.
"Let them have and eyeful." He said cheekily as he leaned forward and we were so close to touching but then we stopped when I heard Katie say, "Shit!" And she never swore. I looked in her direction and saw pure shock horror on her face. And then I looked in the direction she was looking and felt that pure shock horror rush in.
It was Mark, just mark standing at the counter ordering. I quickly looked at Katie for advice but she just sat there stuttering trying to explain to Todd why she was freaking out. "It's mark." I concluded after she rambled on for about a minute of nothing that made sense.
"Yeah and that's a problem why?" Brent asked sounding annoyed that we didn't end up giving Katie and Todd an eyeful.
"Because he's a jerk!" Katie exclaimed drawing to much attention for my liking.
"Shhh!" I told her before she said anymore or drew any more attention.
"Why is he a jerk?" Todd and Brent asked at the same time with concerned looks on there faces.
"I'll explain later just hide me, please." I added the please because I was desperate. Brent looked at me confused but concerned and switched sides with me so mark wouldn't see me and also put his arm around me so that also helped. Mark eventually sat down and then Corey entered and joined him. Which sent Katie into hysterics Todd was trying to calm her down but nothing was working.
"So are you going to explain to me what this is all about?" Brent asked sadly sounding mad.
I kissed him lightly on the cheek before telling him, "Not yet." He shifted in his seat and groaned louder than was necessary and Mark and Corey looked up at us and I quickly leaned back hoping they didn't see me.
"Sorry!" Brent whispered as Mark and Corey's chairs scratched along the ground as they stood up and headed straight for us. Mark was heading straight for me and Corey was going straight to Katie.
"Shit." I whispered to no one imparticular. Brent reached for my hand but I pulled away and flipped Katie a text saying to run to the book store, well not run but retreat. I texted Todd and Brent telling them to distract Mark and Corey for as long as they could and not to follow us even if the guys did. On my signal me and Katie quickly got up and headed for the door and I didn't look back until I got to the book store.
