chapter thirty two
Brynn and Luke decided to go shopping for her Mom. "No I think we should buy her clothes," Luke suggested.
"No! We should buy her jewelries," Brynn suggested. They were in a parking lot, fighting what to buy.
"We have to go down, now," Luke opened his door but immediately shut it.
"Why?" Brynn asked with her eyes furrowed. She took her wallet from her backpack and threw it at the back.
"I need a hood and shades," he worried. Brynn glanced at the car Joe's parked in. "Oh no,"
"Oh yes," she smirked.
___
"I can't believe you made me wear this," he looked down at every person they were passing by.
He is wearing a very huge leather jacket and some shades. People are staring at him like he's a huge egghead.
I mean, he's muscular yes, but not like Joe, Dave and Cory. (And Calum) The jacket looked so big on a breadstick like him.
Brynn kept laughing as every person shot a glare at him. Especially teenagers. "You're annoying," Luke whisper-shouted at Brynn.
They decided to go to Starbucks so Luke could take a break. He took a seat where he would not face anyone.
"You know what, as much as I hate you for making me wear this," Luke spoke, Brynn choked on her coffee. "I realized something."
"Oh yeah? What is it?" She took a huge sip on her coffee and placed it down.
"Girls only care about what guy's look like. Like, if they're hot or something, they'd flirt a lot. But, if they wear something stupid like me right now, they get disgusted."
"Not all. At least not me. But hey, that's very true and a deep realization, Mr. Hemmings," Brynn smirked.
"Wait, you know what, I haven't gotten your number," Luke took a pen from his pocket. (A/N: Where the hell did that come from) He took a napkin and slid to her.
"Smooth," she wrote her number and took her phone. "Put yours here," she handed it to Luke.
"Hey, we gotta get going. Let's buy my Mom some shoes," Brynn took her phone back. "No, let's buy her some cake," A huge smile formed on Luke's face.
They left the coffee shop and entered a random local bakery. The cakes were elegant. They were decorated beautifully.
They decided to take a green tea chocolate topped with some white chocolate ganache. They didn't want to take Red Velvet because it was too overrated.
They were heading to the parking lot when they saw something shocking. Something they should've seen.
KFC.
They both looked at each other. "Chicken," Brynn cried. They both ended up buying a bucket and brought to the car.
"God, I'm so fat," Brynn cried as she took another bite of her chicken. Luke was offering a
chicken to Joe but he did't want some. They both started driving, Brynn leading the way. Luke was so tensed. Thinking about what he's gonna get from her mom today.
"Why are you so tensed?" Brynn laughed. She handed a chicken to his mouth and he bit it.
"I'm not," he chewed his food. The were approaching a subdivision- a place full of houses and guarded by securities.
They entered Brynn's subdivision and Luke parked the car before they actually parked in Brynn's house.
Luke went down to talk to Joe. He informed him to park away from Brynn's house. He came back minutes later and drove to Brynn's house.
"This is it," Brynn gulped. She breathed heavily and took her seatbelt off. She took her backpack and opened the door.
She wore the backpack and composed herself. She closed her eyes. Just do it, she thought. She took the box of cake and went to Luke.
She placed her arm beside his chest. "I'm scared," she confessed.
"Me too," he mumbled. They walked up the stairs and door belled.
The door was wide opened and was greeted by a surprised mother. "Luke?"
