chapter twelve
When Brynn got home, Casey had been waiting for her inside her room.
"How'd you get here? What happened to the 'I have my manners'?" Brynn mocked. She laid her bag down her beanie bag and sat on it.
"Ha ha ha," she faked laughed. "But seriously, I felt really bad for leaving you earlier. So," Casey bent down Brynn's bed and slowly took out a box. "I bought a box of pizza!"
"Oh thank you! But actually, it was fun. I met a guy in the last minute," she fuzzed as she remembered.
"What?" Brynn asked; confused. She opened the box and took a bite of pizza.
"Okay so, I was just about to leave, but there's one customer that entered, so I decided to take his order. And so while I was punching his order, he was staring at me. I asked him what's wrong, and he said nothing. Instead, he said my eyes were nice," she smiled while she was staring at the cracks of her ceiling.
"Okay Okay keep going. Wait! What did you tell him?" Casey intrigued what her friend replied, hoping it was something smart.
"I said that I couldn't say the same to hi-" Casey cut off Brynn. Brynn rolled her eyes and took a pizza.
"Why not?!"
"Well he was wearing shades, I couldn't possibly see his eyes! Although he had a blonde streak. he also had -"
"Tall? Has a lisp?" Casey asked; pumped.
"How do you know?" Brynn shocked for the accuracy of her imagination.
"Dude! You just met Calum!" she squealed. "Hadn't it ever cross your mind, Brynn?"
"No. But it's impossible because why would they be here in New Jersey? They're concert's like months away," she explained her side.
"Concert studio checking, maybe? I don't know! But I am positive it is him! OHMYGOSH!!!! I am so happy for you!" she screamed.
"Impossible. Far from possible, Casey," she took a bite from her pizza and continued mocking her friend as she kept talking.
"Or maybe they are writing some songs! I'm sure they'd be needing some inspiration, so they travel a lot. And maybe he chose it here. In New Jersey! Watch for him tomorrow, maybe he'd order coffee and write some lyrics by the window. If not, outside the café, but that would be impossible because he wouldn't want to be caught by the paps," Casey began speaking. While Brynn, who is very skeptical, decides to no longer listen to her friend.
Although Casey kept talking, Brynn wasn't listening. When Casey stopped talking that's when Brynn started listening.
"It's not Calum," was all Brynn said.
"Really? After the long speech --might I say longer than Obama's, that's all you're going to say? Hmm okay but look, the name he gave you is Thomas! Calum's second name!"
"Maybe he likes Calum so much, he decided to be him. Or coincidence," she munched on her pizza.
"No! It's Calum, let's face it! Either way, get close to this guy when you see him. I like how this guy sounds," she smiled.
"Okay. Still I don't think it's Calum," she finally said to shut up her friend. Despite all the denial Brynn kept giving her friend. She knew it can be him, but she doesn't want to admit it.
"You can go now, I'm going to bed," Brynn stood up and pushed Casey away from her room.
"It's Calum! Accept it! I know you like it! He will help you a lot!"
"No thanks! Good night!" she shut her door and fell asleep on her beanie bag.
