chapter nine

It's been over two hours now since Casey arrived. It also has been two hours since they have been having a conversation. Brynn wouldn't call it 'casual talking' because their topic is some very serious topic.

"I want to live in Australia," Brynn wished. Casey was sitting on the edge on Brynn's bed while Brynn is sitting on her blue bean bag.

"Why? Aren't you contented here?" Casey asked.

"I am. I am, I've got everything that I need here. But I don't know, something just wants me to explore Australia. I feel like there is something there. Something very important I need to know," she explained.

"What do you mean? I don't get you," Casey asked; confused. She has no idea what she was saying.

"Ever since I knew about the existence of Australia, something in me was like dragging me to research more about the place. I feel like I belong there, even if I've never been there," Brynn explained. She kept talking and talking, not caring about who is there with her.

"Maybe you're just in that phase right now because you like 5SOS. You know, because they're Australians, so you want to be one. But you can't. You're American, Brynn," Casey stated her opinion.

"No. This is different," Brynn defended.

"Yeah! Just like One Direction, you wanted to live in London, because they're British. Except Niall though."

"I know, but I've never been this attached to a country before, have I? Jeez! I hate geography! But this one. It's different. I want to go there. I have to. Maybe this will lead me to all my answers," she insisted.

"It's an explicable feeling. I can't describe. If only I were a doctor, I would've named it, but I'm not, soo deal with it!"

"I don't know. I guess I'm just being too attached with the movies that I have been watching lately. I've had so many romance movies these past few days, guess I'm just too attached," she scoffed. Brynn knew, if she told her, she would flip.

Right before Brynn was just about to speak again, someone was knocking at her door: roughly.

"I'll take it," Casey suggested. She stood up from her seat and opened the door for a furious mother.

"Brynn, I don't care if Casey's here but how many times do I have to tell you to stop dreaming? You cannot and WILL NOT go to Australia, understand?" Mrs. Clementime screamed.

"Why do you get so mad whenever I talk about Australia, huh? What something happened there? Someone died there? Or if not, something almost did, HUH?" Brynn answered back.

"Shut Up! You do not know what you're saying! And don't you there speak to me like that young lady!" her mother screamed.

"I don't know you anymore Mom! What have you been through? Drugs? Because its almost as seem that I don't know you!" she screamed back.

"Okay that's enough, Brynn," Casey attempted to halt the argument. She extended both her arms sideways in the middle of two.

"We're not yet done Brynn," her mother said; furious. She left the room of Brynn.

"What's up with Australia anyways? I'm going there whether you like it or not!" Brynn screamed in anger. Brynn's cheeks were soaked and she barely even noticed.

She convulsively wiped her tears until she can't keep up anymore. Her friend grabbed her and hugged her. "It's okay Brynn, I'm taking you there. I promise," she promised. "When I have money."

Brynn chuckled. "Thanks."

"I'm still gonna have to rob my mom, you know. Besides, what are friends for? Okay, I gotta go, I still have to do something. You take care, okay?" Casey kissed her head.

"We live in front of each other," Brynn joked. Casey laughed and off she went.

Right when Casey left, Brynn shut her door. She opened her closet and took a hidden box below her clothes.

She took the bear covering the box, whom she names Buffy. Like her 'Australia', something told her that the name of the bear was Buffy.

There were pictures, a necklace, and more. A half pendant necklace and a couple of pictures with a guy.
