chapter thirty four

They both got to the tour bus not too long before the band had to leave.

"Oh you brought the lil cutie here," Michael greeted with his pink feather scarf. "Hola," he took Brynn's hand and kissed it.

"I thought we had this scarf disposed?!" Luke shouted. Ashton and Calum came out not too long after Luke shouted.

Ashton looked very happy, but the tension between Cal and Brynn was present.

"Brynn," the two nodded. Brynn half smiled at Ashton and Calum. "Luke texted us that you're coming! Yay!" Ashton jumped.

"Okay, let's go in. Brynn, make yourself feel at home, because this will be for the next how many weeks," Ashton went inside, followed by Calum, Luke and Brynn.

"After we pretty much show you the place, we will hit the road," Luke continued. He placed Brynn's bag down on the kitchen area.

"We usually have everyone here, our manager and all that, but today, well, they had to attend some meetings for our future concerts. Okay so this will be your bunk," Ashton patted a messy bunk.

"I think someone's occupying this?" Brynn questioned.

"It's uh, it's mine. I knew you'd like to sleep beside Luke, so I'm gonna sleep on the other bunk," Calum shyly answered her making her turn around. "Thanks," she mumbled.

They showed Brynn pretty much everywhere before they settled in their bunks. It took a while for them to call Michael because he was too busy gagging around with his scarf. Where the hell did he get that anyway?

It's almost midnight and Brynn still cannot sleep. She sat up on the edge of her bunk and saw everyone's asleep.

Ashton's on the top bunk of Luke and his curtains were closed. Same goes for Michael.

Luke's hair was all so messed up and his lip ring was set aside in a container full of stickers. Calum's bunk was closed too, so pretty much she's the only one awake.

The back of the bus and the bunk area are separated by a moving mirror. She pressed the lil button that Ashton told her to press whenever she wants to be alone.

As the mirror kept moving, there was a guitar playing loudly heard.

"Calum? I thou-" she pointed at his bunk. Calum was playing the guitar.

"Uhmm.. I closed it so that uhmm people would think I'm sleep," he faked laughed. "What are you doing up so late?"

Brynn sat beside the door as she answered Calum's question. "I couldn't sleep. I mean all this is happening, it's too much to handle."

"The Luke thing? Like your friendship thing?"

"Is that why I felt so lucky when I thought I actually met one of you guys? I mean the two of you actually," she corrected.

Brynn wanted to leave. I mean with what happened on the mall thing and all that, she felt really awkward.

But of course, you just can't be that rude to him. Be civil, she said.

"Yeah. Yeah, uhm. We wanted to surprise him. I mean, he would think of you everyday. I mean, we're all like brothers, so we wanted to make him happy," he explained.

"Look I'm sorry, if I was so upset about you lying," Brynn apologized. "I just, I don't know. I guess I was just so scared that I am how many guys away from the guy I'm looking for."

"Robert? Thomas? What? I'm not stupid. I knew it was you guys, but I just kept on denying it. Cos I'm afraid." she cried.

"It's not your fault, Brynn. I'm sorry for lying too," he set the guitar aside. He stood up and hugged Brynn.

"Hey listen, let's go to the park when we stop by at Maryland. The band has a little day off and we could hopefully catch up?" he pulled away from her, meeting her dark brown eyes.

"Okay," she faintly smiled. Calum sat beside her and Brynn lay down at his lap; falling asleep.
