special chapter nine
l u k eThe boys arrived in the hospital; rushing. Luke ran straight to the front desk and asked for her room number.
"Do you happen to know what room number Brynn Clementine is?" he asked.
"Relationship?"
"My girl- my best friend," he said. The nurse gave her exact location to the boys. They ran to the her room, but a doctor was in there.
The doctor came out, and quickly noticed the boys. "Which is which?"
"Me, I'm her best friend," Luke raised his hand. "How is she?"
"Well she's doing much better now. We gave her her needed medication, and now she's just resting."
"It was a high fever caused by her prescribed medications. Don't worry there are no other tumors found in her body."
Luke glanced at the boys; confused. "Other tumors?"
"Yes? Well she has a lung cancer. I contacted her previous doctor and she said her last appointment was when she was 15. She fortunately is a survivor."
"But table have turned and it came back. Her lungs was just not fully recovered, even it may been years, and it came back."
Luke stared at the doctor and closed his eyes. He slowly walked to the nearest bench and weeped.
Calum and Michael walked over to him as he heard Ashton asking some questions.
"Isn't there like cancer stages? I don't know," he stuttered.
"It is no longer a stage, it's terminal. We couldn't do anything anymore, we just have to make the most out of it in the remaining days."
"Remaining days? Are you kidding me? Don't tell me her days are counted!" Luke walked up to the doctor and pushed him against the wall.
He grabbed him by his collar and started shouting at him. "Don't Fucking tell me she has a number of days left! Aren't you a doctor? Do your job well! I'm going to fire you!"
"Luke, Luke," the boys tried pulling him but he was too strong. He was shaking as if he is having an episode.
He is red as a bull. The boys have never seen Luke this mad before, when in reality he just scared.
Scared to lose her once again. But this time, for good.
"Hey get your hands off her!" a security screamed. Luke glance past his shoulder and glared at the doctor.
She groggily opened the door and sat beside Brynn. The moment he laid his eyes on her, all those anger faded away.
Her dark brown hair laid down past her shoulders, her flawless, tan skin. Her black nails and most especially her pinkish kissable lips. Wow, she really drives me crazy.
He took a chair beside her bed and grabbed her hands. It was really cold and pale. Luke kissed her hands and stared at her face.
There was a strand that that was covering her face, so he pulled it away gently. "I waited for you for so long, I can't lose you again."
He wiped his tears, not breaking his stare. "There's this one time, during an interview, they told us, 'You must be very happy, because you got everything already.' I just smiled."
"But the truth is, I'm not. I never was ever since you left me. I was like a lost dog, wandering around the streets. Then one day, someone found me and brought me back to my owner."
"It was a short time, yes, those were the best days of my life. Now, my owner's the one missing. I just want her to come home, I want you to come home, Brynn. Nothing and no one can ever replace you."
He stood up and kissed her in the forehead. "I'm you leave, I'm coming with you."
