"Pssst! Lexi!" someone whispered as I stepped into the common room after a particularly exhausting night in the room of requirement. After the Slytherin loss and my week in the hospital wing, Frank's heart really wasn't in practices anymore, considering the next match would be in the spring. Finally, my time was consumed by messing around with the Marauders and secretly hanging out with Robert.

"Lexi!"I turned around at my name and saw Robert, sitting alone in the corner.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow..." I mumbled to the rest of the Marauders as they stumbled up to their dorm.

"What's up Robert?" I whispered as I took a seat across from him. No one else was in the common room, presumably everyone would be sleeping. This was how my usual meetings with Robert were; in secret so Frank would never find out we were slowly becoming "more than friends."

"So I've been thinking lately..." Robert started. His warm eyes danced by the firelight as he stared at me.

"Never a good sign... You thinking, that is..." I anxiously joked. A small smile grew on Robert's face.

"Okay, but seriously..." he continued, holding me still with his careful gaze. Right on cue, my heart started to race like it always did around Robert.

"You're staying at Hogwarts for the holiday break, right?"

"Yes, why?"

"I am too this year... And I- Well, you know the next Hogsmeade trip is during the break right?" Robert went on, scratching his neck in an adorably flustered way. "Well, I thought maybe we could go together- for real this time."

"Like- like a d-date?" I stuttered, my face growing hot.

"Yes... A date." Robert agreed.

"But... What about what Frank said?" I mumbled, just trying to get my mind around the fact that Robert was asking me on a real date this time. "He might just kick us off the team if he finds out!"

"Wow Lexi..." Robert chuckled. "Didn't know you were one to follow the rules! Besides, the quidditch season is over right now, what's Frank going to do about it?"

"You have a point..." I agreed.

"So would you like to? Go on a date, that is..." Robert finished, watching my face for any sign of emotion. Honestly, it wasn't a tough decision for me.

"Yes, I would love to go on a date with you."

Lily about fainted when she heard the news the next morning. She started squealing and jumping up and down, nearly waking the entire Gryffindor tower. Word spreads like wildfire though our House. Within twenty-four hours, everyone in Gryffindor was whispering about how Robert and I were secretly dating (Which we weren't really dating, right? It's just one date!).

All of the fifth year Gryffindor girls started glaring at me every time I walked by or sat in the same room as them. I guess they were all jealous or something. But the worst part wasn't the envious looks I got from desperate girls, the worst part wasn't even the suspicious looks I got from Frank! The worst part of everyone knowing about 'me and Robert' was the jokes the Marauders made about it, particularly James and Sirius.

"No no no!" Sirius argued with James, purposefully loud enough for me to hear. "He asked her by saying 'you're like a golden snitch, hard to catch, but chased by all the players'."

"Horrible pick up line Pads..." James disagreed. Ignoring them, I continued to write my history of magic essay, my quill flying across the paper. "It was probably more along the lines of 'my love burns for you like a dying phoenix'."
