Back to Lexi P.O.V.

"Lexi! What have you done?!"

A sharp whisper awoke me from my slumber while a hand shook my arm. Bewildered, I blinked my eyes and saw bright red like the room was on fire. But it wasn't, it was just a girl with the brightest red hair sitting in the sun, hovering in my personal space.

"Lily..." I mumbled in shock. Staring at her in the sun made me wince- the light hurt my eyes. Everything hurt.

"Lexi come on." Lily commanded, grabbing my arm to help me up. As she helped me sit up, it felt like I slammed my head on a frying pan. Something rolled off from around my waist as I stood up. Looking back down, I saw Sirius lying on the couch in the common room, still asleep. I fell asleep with him?! What would Robert say?!

Hurriedly, Lily helped me walk across the common room and up to the bathrooms while winced through every step that rocked my body. Each step was like an electrical shock up through my feet and slamming into my head. My head was spinning. The room was spinning. And I couldn't remember a single thing that brought me into this position.

"You smell like firewhisky." Lily grumbled and wrinkled her nose, pushing me down to sit on a stool while she locked the door. She handed me a glass of water and stared at me like a concerned mother as I thirstily guzzled it down, washing away the taste of stale alcohol.

"Lily, I'm so sorry about the Severus thing again." I croaked, realizing she wasn't even on speaking terms with me. "I really-"

"Shut up." Lily said and refilled me glass with the Aguamenti charm. "I overreacted, okay? Don't say you told me so or anything, but you need me right now so first things first- why were you sleeping with Black?"

"Well, I didn't actually sleep with Sirius- or at least, I don't think I did-"

"You know what I mean!"

While sipping on my glass of water, I tried to recollect how I ended up sleeping in the common room with Sirius. The pounding headache was slowly fading away, but there was an aching feeling in my heart.

"Merlin- Robert! Brenda!" I moaned, recalling what made me drown myself in firewhisky in the first place. "Lily- he cheated on me!"

"What? You didn't know that?!" Lily asked in awe as I tipped my head into my hands. "I thought you guys broke up weeks ago! Everyone knew he was sneaking around with her!"

"Everyone except me." I groaned miserably, tears threatening to fall again as Robert's ashamed face with Brenda on his lap popped into my mind. I remembered that horrible incident... Then running into the cellar of the Hog's Head... But when did Sirius come into the picture?

"You still smell like alcohol." Lily snorted and wrinkled her nose again. I stared at her in shock as realization hit me again. After five months of not speaking to me at all, here she was taking care of me like we were best friends.

"You- You're talking to me, like friends." I gasped. "Helping me and not ignoring me and-"

"You just needed someone, and I knew it." Lily cut me off, handing me one of her clean shirts that didn't smell like a brewery. Screw Robert and Sirius, Lily is the love of my life. "And I wouldn't wish waking up to Black on my worst enemy."

"But after all these months... You hated me..."

"No I didn't... I realize I might've overreacted..." Lily admitted solemnly. "I guess you and Sev are even now, huh?"
