"So you're sure you and Padfoot are just friends?" Remus mused as we stepped into the defense against the dark arts classroom. Most of the class was already there, lining up against the back wall of the classroom because all of the desks were put against the wall. It was probably for a practical lesson- my favorite.

"Yes, and that's all we will ever be from now on." I insisted.

"Well, it doesn't seem like anything changed... You still look at him the same way and he still looks at you the same way."

"Wait... He looks at me in a particular way?"

Remus didn't respond, but I looked over to Sirius, who was indeed looking at me. It wasn't in a weird, longing way, but his usual smirk and wink- something I thought he did to every girl.

"Alright class, today, we are going to have a practical lesson on boggarts." Professor Norris announced as she came out of her office, carrying a large trunk. She smiled at me as she set it in the middle of the room. I'd already been over boggarts with her and could perfectly deal with them. "In this trunk is a boggart. It will manifest itself into your worst fear. I trust you all have read up on them and the spell used to banish them? Alexandra, would you like to start?"

The class let out a collective groan and a few of them rolled their eyes at me. I'd started to earn a name for myself as Professor Norris' protégé, and even the smartest Ravenclaws in our defense against the dark arts class couldn't compare. Their jealousy made me step forward with a smirk, ready to easily face the boggart as I had many times before.

Professor Norris grinned at me and balanced on the edge of her desk as I approached the trunk. With a flick of her wand, the lid of the trunk flipped backwards. Calmly, I sucked in a breath as the long, thin, sleek, black legs of a giant black widow spider crawled out of the trunk. Chills still shuddered down my spine, but I knew how to deal with it.

"Riddikulus!" I shouted without wavering. A bright jet of light hit the spider right in the middle of the red hourglass shape on its back and the spider's eight feet were caught in roller skates. The class burst into laughter and the spider fell clumsily on the ground. Everyone was eager to try after me, stepping up behind me, trying to see what the boggart would turn into for them.

I stood in the back of the class with the Marauders and watched as the boggart turned into demons, vermin, giant insects, and even Sterling Spies (I had a real laugh over that one). When it was nearing the end of class, Remus stepped forward, looking uneasy. I had a feeling his boggart would turn into something related to his furry little problem, so I stepped closer to the trunk than he was, and the boggart turned into a nasty black widow for Remus to face.

"Make way everyone!" Sirius cockily called out and stepped in front of Remus. He smiled at the fallen spider from Remus, as if daring it to turn into something scary. I was curious too, wondering what Sirius' deepest fear was.

The spider whirled away and in its place, a figure dressed in red stood up. Confused, I watched the person stand up and face the crowd with a sexy smirk. My heart seemed to stop and I wanted to faint because Sirius' boggart turned into... me.

It wasn't just me, it was like Lexi 2.0, with sultry, mysterious looks, a perfect body enunciated by her tight, red dress, and a confidence around Sirius I wish I had. I- well, the boggart- looked oddly perfect: midnight black hair in ringlets, cobalt eyes... Basically the image of me I wanted to look like but knew I could never compare to. It set a standard for myself, and I felt belittled with my messy braid and simple robes. That was the girl Sirius would love.
