That backpack was too worn out and just ripped right down the middle and all of my stuff came out. Of course Jane rushed to help me and I got all of my school supplies of the bus. The minute the bus drove away I started sobbing while I was walking down the driveway. It was the only thing I had and now it was done for. And I cried even harder when I though about Jane's look of what was I thinking when I carried all of my school supplies to school tomorrow by hand. But then I thought what if my mom will by me a new backpack? Maybe she will I am her daughter I thought to myself. So I decided to ask her and that was the worst decision I have ever made. I asked after dinner and right before I got to take my five minute shower.
"Umm, Mom my backpack broke beyond repair can I get a new one?" I said shaking and scared out of my mind.
"Are you kidding I just got you that last year!"
" Actually you got it three years ago,"I said even more scared.
" I can't believe you broke it you think if you break your backpack I'll just but you another one! You ungrateful little brat! I can't have ungrateful kids in my house! GET OUT! YOU CAN SLEEP ON THE PORCH FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!"
By then I was really scared so I dropped everything I had in my hands ( a dinner plate)and ran the only place I knew I might be safe, Jane's house.
