The paramedic grabbed me and picked me up, maybe a little too hard and I screamed in pain. He lightly adjusted his grip and he started running as fast as he could to get away from the fire. He paced about 20 meters when he saw the ambulance and fire truck pull up. The ambulance pulled over immediately and a new paramedic set me on a stretcher. Every part of my body besides my right side was strangely cold. I started shivering and my teeth starting chattering, then I passed out, for a while this time.
When I awoke I was laying in a hospital bed alone. I was bandaged from my shoulder to my thigh on my right side and there was an IV on my left arm dripping blood into my body. I still felt dizzy and I had a very large bandage on my forehead where the doctors had removed the broken window glass from my head. I fell asleep again trying to get rid of the dizziness. I woke up and I realized my dad and Jane were nowhere to be found. I immediately pushed the button to signal the nurse and of course a nurse came rushing in. The same nurse I had had two times before.
"Hi honey, how are you doing today? At least I can see both your beautiful eyes this time."
"Yeah the eye, haha, umm where is my dad and Jane?"
"There in the two rooms right next to you. They never would have survived without you. The paramedics figured out what you did. But how'd you drag them that far with a dislocated shoulder?"
"I felt it but I think I had so much adrenaline rushing through my veins that I couldn't let it bother me. Are they okay?"
"Your dad is just fine he just was knocked unconscious he is going to go home after we do a full body X-Ray to make sure he is okay. And Jane is okay she just pulled a muscle in her neck, but she is sick. Some sort of infection has taken over her lungs, we haven't umm quite figured it out yet. But you young lady have some time in her along with Jane. You have a dislocated shoulder and you lost a lot of blood threw the wound in your shoulder and right side. You were punctured by the metal in the car. And the wound is already infected because of the grass, dirt, and ash that was inside from your efforts to save your family. Oh and the wounds on your face aren't infected because the glass blocked that."
"What happened to the man in the other car?"
