"Why hello why don't you come down and introduce yourself." I came down the stairs in the nightgown that Jane had given me, it was a little long but besides that it was perfect. It had been the nicest clothes I had worn in a long time. As I got closer to her dad I became more and more nervous. He was dressed perfectly like a lawyer. His suit and tie that didn't have a single wrinkle, and his hair was perfectly in place with hair gel. I shook his hand then went to introduce myself. "Hi my name is Alex."
"Now tell me how you got kicked out." I told them my whole story all the way back to the day Marc was born all the way to today when I was told to sleep on the porch. I spilled all my feelings and by the time I was done I was sobbing harder than when my backpack broke. I felt her dad's warm hand touch my shoulder and I hugged him harder than I have hugged anyone before. It felt so good to be hugged by someone I knew truly cared for me. He held for about five minutes and all the while I held him back. Soon me and Jane went to bed but it took me a while to go to sleep the bed was very comfortable and so was the nightgown and Mr. Morris even tucked me in. (There last names were Morris, Bobby was his full name, but he went by Bob for his lawyer name because Bobby wasn't very professional.) What kept me up at night was thinking about Jane crying. I knew there had to be a very important reason for her to be crying that hard and I was going to find out.
