I could stand on my own and walk but the wheel chair was just for safety. So when the nurse left I walked into the bathroom to change out of the hospital gown and back into the clothes I had worn earlier, only to find the shirt ripped to shreds and the jeans head a large rip and a blood stain from the glass cutting through the jeans and my skin.
"Alex I bought you a shirt and shorts to wear hhh,"-he started to say home then stopped "back to my house," Mr. Morris said.
"Oh thank you Mr. Morris!" I went into the bathroom and put on the blue I  ❤️ Children's Hospital shirt and a blue pair of shorts to match. I didn't care that it was just a t-shirt and shorts it was bought just for me and I felt like a million bucks. Once I got in the car my and Jane started talking.
"Sorry about your clothes," I said.
"Don't worry about it. That was not your fault and I have plenty other clothes."
"Did you get my school supplies and my diary?"
"Yeah we did after they arrested your dad. Here is your diary," she said as she handed me my diary. I reached for it and held it in my arms happy that my parents didn't burn it or dip it in water. Luckily they hadn't touched it.
"We are sure the court is going to rule in our favor now. With your dad beating you up they aren't going to allow you to stay there." And from then on we just kind of chatted like what do you like to do? Do you play sports? What's your favorite tv show? And so on. She was more of the craft type of girl, but the question that keep etching my mind was why were you crying that night I came to your house? But I decided to wait till we were alone in her room.
The only way to get to Jane's house, from the direction we came, is to pass my house. When we passed the cops were gone but the yard was a mess and the back door was still down. I could see the tracks from the ambulance pulling in the front yard. I was so happy that I probably wouldn't live there anymore. When we got to Jane's house we were in complete shock.
